All that is required to make a game on AWBW is that you are registered and logged in. From there, use the Create Game page to continue making a game. The required fields needed to be filled are the Game Name, Map, Your Army Choice, and Your CO Choice. Everything else is either optional (Password for private game, Teams, CO Bans, and Unit Bans) or are set to a Default Option. The fields are explained below:

Game Name: The name of your game. If the name you filled in this field is already being used, you will get an error and your game will not be made.

Password: Add a password to your game to keep all but the people you want in out. If no password is in this field, the game will be Public.

Map: Map choice. Upon picking a map from the drop-down list, a small preview image will come up, showing the map's structure and terrain, but not predeployed units.

Team: Check this box to turn teams on. From then, players can be assigned to a team from letters A to H. If this box remains unchecked, the game will be a Free For All. (Default Option : Off)

Country: Pick the country you want to be in the game. Picking a country not on the map will give you an error and your game will not be made. (Default Choice : Orange Star)

CO: Pick the CO that you want to play as on the map. Picking a banned CO or Random CO as the game creator will give you an error and your game will not be made. (Default Choice : Adder)

CO Powers: If you do not wish to play with any COs, you may turn CO powers off simply by setting this to “off”. Switching CO powers off will cause all units (for all players) to use their basic stats d2d (ala Andy ) and no player will be able to charge or use CO powers for the duration of the game. You must still choose a CO to represent you (see above) but their character will have no impact on the actual game. (Default Option : On)

Fog: Setting this to "On" will create a Fog Of War (FOW) game. the effects of fog on gameplay will be explained on the Fog of War page. (Default Option : Off)

Weather: Changes the weather of the game. Picking Clear will have the game in permanently Clear weather, Picking Rain and Snow will fix the game into their respective weathers permanently. On games with one primary fixed weather, the weather can be changed under certain circumstances, such as certain CO Powers. Selecting Random will have the weather randomly change to Rain or Snow for a turn, but is mostly Clear weather. (Default Option : Clear)

Starting Funds: Determines how many funds each player starts the game with, from a value of 0 to 30,000, going in intervals of 1,000s (Default Option : 0)

Funds Per Turn: Determines how many funds a player gets from each of their owned properties, from a value of 500 per property to 9,500 per property, going in intervals of 500s (Default Option : 1,000)

Capture: If on, determines how many properties a player needs to be declared the victor. If Off, capturing properties will not give the player an instant victory. (Default Option: Off)

Boot Interval: Determines how many days a player has to make a move before he is booted of inactivity. Doing most any action (Except for setting Draw) will reset this timer, giving the player more time to make his move. This is known as stalling. (Default Option: 10 Days)

AET Interval: Determines how many days a player has to complete his turn before his turn is automatically ended by the system. Unlike the Boot Interval, doing any action will NOT reset this timer, so the player is to complete his entire turn before this timer reaches it's limit or they will be put at a disadvantage. Setting the AET Interval to a shorter time than the Boot Interval will make it impossible for a player to get booted from the game. (Default Option : Infinite [Off])

Comment: An optional comment that can be added under all of the listed settings when viewing the game on the Waiting list. This comment disappears once a game is started.

CO Bans: Determines which COs will be banned from the game. Checking a Banned CO and then picking the same CO on the CO drop down menu will give you an error. (Default : No CO Bans)

Unit Bans: Determines which Units will be banned from being built in the game. If a Banned unit is already predeployed on the map, it will remain there but more of said unit will not be able to be built.

Lab Units: Any units checked as Lab Units will not be able to be built if you do not control any Labs. If you start with or capture a Lab on the map, you'll then be able to build the units designated here as normal.

Save Setting As: Fill this in with a name to have the current settings saved for future reference.

Create: Click this when you are done tweaking the rules to your desire to create the game. If you are missing some vital fields (Such as Game Name or Map), you will get an error and your game will not be made.
