A tribute to Smack's hatred of bland maps.
Deaninator (06/16/2007 03:46pm):
A very nice map. I think I'll go ahead and give it a 10.
jhuni (06/18/2007 04:54pm):
I guess a 10/10 sounds fair.

Dhomochevsky (05/24/2008 10:49am):
Genuinely excellent map, interesting and varied fronts and stalemating is pretty much ruled out by the HQ's being
on the central island. The air/central properties battle adds an extra dimension.
elfreed (01/31/2009 05:01pm):
I dont like small & tight 1-on-1 maps. But this one has enough space for alternate
strategies and that is good. ... And I just won it with a rush to the enemy HQ.

Psytrin (04/12/2010 02:01am):
9/10 from me

Where's the red infantry? xD
walkerboh01 (05/29/2010 03:31am):
This map absolutely deserves a 10. I think Dhomo pretty much hit the nail on the head, this map is great for both
FOW and regular battles, and is just generally enjoyable to play on.
Red11 (05/30/2011 01:46am):
S-rank? A tad over-rated, methinks
SmackCakes (10/11/2011 01:40pm):
I don't think this map is overrated at all. I have played on it a few times. Win or loose, each game has been interesting and varied.
This is the kind of map that encourages players to bring out a huge variety of units. Every transport unit is pretty much essential
here, even larger units like Rockets and Fighters have their place. It is not uncommon even, to see Bombers and Battleships
come out to defend the middle. The fronts are dynamic and well balanced, and the HQ island means that players always have
the chance to pull a victory from the jaws of defeat.

We used this map for the first round of the 'No Holds barred Tournament', and it performed remarkably well. Rather than being a
one CO show, all of the broken COs form Kanbei to Colin, Grit to Sensei proved to be equally viable here, and even Sturm and
Sami were not ruled out as great choices. That says a lot about this map. It is rare to find a map that can support such a big variety of COs and Units and still yield great games. There is much more here than meets the eye.

Also the map is aesthetically pleasing, which is an important factor when maps are chosen for S-Rank, it might not have all the
swirls and curves or some of the newer more creative maps, but what could be more classic than a circle? I would rather the
reefs didn't break the shorelines, but that's only a minor gripe.

This is a solid map, and thoroughly deserving of S-Rank. Until such time as anyone can find 10 maps better.

Certainly one of the most interesting maps I've played on, with lots of choices and variety. A
solid 10 if ever there was one.

I love how this map was dedicated to Smack's Hatred, and yet he valiantly defended it.
I've yet to play a game on this map. I'm going to give it a try.
