My first attempt at a standard 1v1 map. It has a lot of rough terrain and cities, so I imagine CO's like Lash might have an advantage. I tried to balance this by having roads in the middle. Would love some feedback from people who have tested it. |

In general, high density of heavy terrain combined with relatively narrow lanes is going to make indirects very strong. In addition, 4 bases per side means a lot of extra infantry spam. These two traits combined are likely to make the map feel pretty grindy and stallish (especially if played in fog). I recommend removing one base per side, and removing some heavy terrain from the contested areas to encourage more attacking play. One other point is that it's nice to move the HQs forward a little so that a losing side can't stall a long time before the game ends. |

I Think this Map is Closer to An Andy map than Lash one Andy wants To: Tech Up and Create Walls The tight Corridors Means that Units mostly Just get Harmed Instead of Killed (Very few/No 2HKOs Available due to Bottlenecking) which In turn Means he can Repair it Back (If Powers available) The amount Of cities Make it easier For him to Tech Up and Spam Heavy tanks Along with Infantry, Because of the Heavy terrain Those Infantry can Easily survive At Low Health (Another Repairable Unit) And help Him wall Up Lash Dislikes Airports, Also Air would be Quite strong Having Pretty strong "Hiding" Places (Like Mountain Diamond @ 07,13) Overall Looks like a Slow Arty Party Stall map |

Lots of strong positions for indirects here. I like the base that is close to the middle which can get your units into the action in the center quickly, although I could definitely see how having four bases was too much. |

Played a game on every tier and it's not quite as stally as I was hoping for. As in, the map itself is not what causes the stall. If you build a wall of indirects, you can stall out the match, as it's really easy to get your indirects in solid defensible positions. There are too many Bases and not enough Airports to stop that. If neither player builds indirects, though, it's just an ok map. If I were to redesign it to resolve the stall issue, I would turn the neutral base near each HQ into an Airport, and turn two of the central Cities into Bases to create more hotly contested territory. I would also not move the HQs closer to the middle, and more importantly, away from Bases to make them harder to defend. |
