Bobary (03/25/2006 10:04pm):
i'm betting many of you are wondering "Wtf??? Green earth starts off with units, giving it teh HUGE FTA!" Green earth has fewer cities... though I'm going to give GS some units as well so GE doesn't steal all their property |
Bobary (03/25/2006 10:04pm):
Thank you anoymus rater, for the 10/10 rating o_O |
Bobary (03/25/2006 10:14pm):
Go to hell anoymus rater, for the bad rating and no suggestion to fix it |
jhuni (03/25/2006 10:22pm | Edited: 03/25/2006 10:25pm):
Even thoug he has more property ge still has a big advantage extra property is nothing towards the fta it will take gs 2 turns atleast to equalize with ge... ge should probaly attack with 2 infantrys and capture with 2 infantrys plus if ge is like sami then big problems will come for gs. |
Bobary (03/25/2006 10:36pm):
Umm... I had Kindle/Koal vs Lash in mind here actually :\ |
Patashu (03/25/2006 10:37pm):
GE is capturing two bases from the start, GS can only reach one immediately. |
Bobary (03/25/2006 10:37pm):
Fine, deleting 1 GE unit, and reassigning the other one farther away from GS, will take into consideration replacing Infantry with Mechs |
Bobary (03/25/2006 10:43pm):
What are you talking about Patashu? :\ GE units are ON cities, and so are GS units |
Bobary (03/25/2006 10:46pm | Edited: 03/25/2006 10:47pm):
Edited the map; tell me what you think |
Bobary (03/25/2006 11:05pm):
Oh, I forgot to mention... The forest on GS's side is their national park. The road on GE's side is a museum to show how GSG is crapping up the earth. That's why GE attacked GS, so they wouldn't destroy the earth. |
Patashu (03/26/2006 12:41am):
Um, bases captured are much more important than cities captured. |
Bobary (03/27/2006 10:47am):
o_O Your right, but WTF? Who could care? GS has a terrain advantage (ALL Urban enviroment, while GE has most Enviroment) |
Bobary (03/27/2006 04:43pm):
Adder could make it :P |
General Ace (03/27/2006 04:57pm | Edited: 03/27/2006 04:57pm):
Once you fight someone that likes to produce a lot of units, you'll have hell to go through... |
jhuni (03/27/2006 05:18pm | Edited: 03/27/2006 05:19pm):
Ok thats better not sure whats gonna happen now... |
Bobary (03/31/2006 05:21pm):
GE can't move well on their side... so theres an advantage for GS |
A nose (04/17/2006 03:51pm | Edited: 04/17/2006 03:58pm):
Lets look at this. I am playing on this map against Bobary, and I am pooning him. This map needs to be revised to help GS. 7/10 as it is a reletavely balanced map, but once you get further into the game, that extra infantry on GE gives GE extra income, and that gives GE good units early, so GE will end up owning. If GE units became Mechs, the Mechs would move slower than the GS infantry, and almost balance it. |
UrzaMTG (04/18/2006 01:23am | Edited: 04/18/2006 01:23am):
The raw production power of GE in the early game does not overcome the urban terrain and 1 extra city of GS. In fact, the urban terrain HURTS more than helps, as there is a complete lack of defense on that side barring cities. Not only that, but because the player going first is the one in the forests, that is what balances the FTA, not the urban environment. The mere fact that GE has the ability to produce from 4 spots on day 3 is sickening, and their money goes up exponentionally from there. Hell, they can use the buildup from the first 2 turns to start with a ton of might movement units like tanks a recons to go against the already crippled GS, which is stuck in Infantry and Mechs, maybe Recons if they give up the productive infantry they desperately need early on. You can't design a map for "this CO versus this CO" because that will not happen 99% of the time. |
felix45 (08/20/2006 09:43pm):
too many factories + what urza said. |
rast2 (01/24/2008 04:27pm):
4/10 interesting concept, execution is too unbalanced. |
Fate 6 (02/20/2008 05:37pm):
Only thing I see here is a theme, which I like, but GE totally destroys GS. When GE gets a rocket or artillery early on, its over. Decent map, but attempting to balance the FTA killed it. |
Nyvelion (01/15/2013 05:48pm):
Interesting concept, but this'll never be a highly rated map. |
