The faction colors honestly should be staggered so all of the North doesn't go before any of the south goes and make the game very swingy.

as stated, team distribution is a bit off. the following are more balanced ways to have 8 v 8.
AAAA BBBB BBBB AAAA
ABAB ABAB BABA BABA
AABB AABB BBAA BBAA
ABAB BABA ABAB BABA

Alternatively, if you prefer the setup that you have, give every player on team B (the bottom team) a starting infantry on one
of their starting bases to compensate for the entire team going second.
