Please read this comment for an explanation of how the map works: This map is recommended for play with HIGH FUNDS settings (funds per turn = 2000). In the lower-left and upper-right quadrants are sections of the map enclosed by pipes. Inside, there are two mechs and six "compartments". The pipe seams can be broken by the rockets and artillery -- P1 can break one seam on their first turn and one on their second, while P2 can break any two seams on their first turn. This allows each player to access two of the compartments with their mechs in ABBA order (one of the top 3 and one of the bottom 3). ---------------------------- The piped compartments offer the following "upgrades" (from P1's viewpoint): TOP 3 [choose 1]: 1. A neutral airport. (+2000G) 2. 2 cities. (+4000G) 3. A missile silo and a neutral tower. (+0G) BOTTOM 3 [choose 1]: 4. A neutral port and a preowned lander + APC. (+2000G) 5. An opponent's tower and a missile silo. (+0G) 6. An opponent's airport, and trapping an enemy carrier and cruiser. (+2000G). ---------------------------- NOTES FOR CERTAIN COMPARTMENTS: #1. The neutral airport has 2 friendly APCs and 1 enemy t-copter. In order to use the airport, delete the closest APC and build a battle copter or fighter to remove the enemy t-copter. This mechanic is in place to prevent players from freely entering this compartment if they don't choose it initially (i.e., it always requires an air unit to open). #4. The neutral port has 2 friendly APCs and 1 enemy t-copter. In order to use the port, load the APC onto the lander and use the mech to kill the enemy t-copter. Do NOT move the lander onto the port before the t-copter is dead, or you will be delayed on your use of the port until you can clear the enemy t-copter from the other side with an air unit. #6. If you do not choose this compartment, your opponent can choose to build a b-copter or bomber to clear the friendly infantry. This releases the enemy carrier and cruiser, which can be used to lock the neutral airport on the island or harass naval units. By capturing the airport, you prevent your opponent from utilizing these naval units. |

FTA counter fix implemented by giving P2 an extra preowned property (to be immediately capped by P1 on day 1). This gives both players the option of building a t-copter on their preowned airport to prevent early airport capture. |

Note to self: add a preowned missile at [28,10] for BM and at [01,14] for GE. That prevents players from using t-copters to block the initial capture, but the missile can still be cleared using an arty for later game airport use (if the section is not picked). |

The navy port near the 2 ground bases only allows black boat or lander unless you leave it stationary unit like a carrier or a battleship. If the shoal tile are changed to sea tile then each player has a more effective navy port. It would be a nice dock. I'm talking about main land mass with ground bases and the labs on it. |

One of the choices you might have to consider is how will you handle the enemy air units if they are spammed. Carriers and destroyers do cost more than battle copters and bombers. |

I like this map for its creativity. It has a complexed fta and choices and hard work on trying to make it a perfect map. |

If you wanted to, you can make the islands on the corners compact so you create even more options with I would like on a different map if you wanted to create a different map. |

Update: A preowned missile has been added for each player to fix the issue with early t-copters preventing capture of the preowned airport. Hopefully this makes compartment #6 a viable choice again. |
