This is a recreation of the continent Jugdral from Fire emblem (4+5).

It should be noted that this map has balance problems, although not even nearly as many as I expected when I started
creating it. Sadly a little condensed as I even managed to hit the extended tile limit.
Almost every country has a different starting issue they have to handle, and has a unique strength, be it in position, potential
income, or unit availability.

I hope you Fire emblem fans enjoy ^^

Love the asymetry! :P

I'm keen to know how you made the map larger than the regular 36x36?
Ranu (12/04/2021 12:15pm | Edited: 12/04/2021 12:17pm):
Glad you like it ^^

To make bigger maps, you have to go to Your Maps and then instead of using the field to input the number click upload map,
which will ask you to upload a text file that has the grit ids.
For an easier time explaining, here is an example:
The text file The Map (W = Water, L = Land)
28,1,28,1,28,1,28 W L W L W L W
28,1,28,1,28,28,28 W L W L W W W
28,1,1,1,28,1,28 W L L L W L W
28,1,28,1,28,1,28 W L W L W L W
28,1,28,1,28,1,28 W L W L W L W

There is a link when you click upload map that shows you what number is which tile id. You can also just create a blank map
over the size, upload it, and then edit it online if you want some better visuals of what you are doing.
Be warned though, the closer you get to 50x50 the more likely saving messes up if you edit online, which means you should
remake what you did on the page in a text file as a backup in case that happens.
Uploads from the textfile always save properly.

Hope that helps ^^

(Edit: It appears that comments dont save spacebars properly, so the example is a bit messed up. Hoping the concept is still
understandable)

could use more cities / less bases, though idk if you're being accurate to the castles here
Keyte117 (12/06/2021 04:47am | Edited: 12/07/2021 11:11pm):
Wow okay, thanks for the tips. Sounds complicated.

To confirm, if i am making a 50x50 water map, i start with gird id
0x0 W, 0x1 W, etc
All the way up to 50x50 W.

Hows that?

Edit, oh i see the terrain is numbered as L1 W28 and you plot it out on one line, comma spaced?

In that case i think i can manage that haha

Also how do you make the shoals neat and curved? I can never get them to be anything other
than up down left right facing.

Cheers again!!!

Ranu (12/06/2021 03:07pm | Edited: 12/06/2021 03:13pm):
The Shoals correct themself after you save the map. You dont even need to put them in the right direction in the first place,
which saves a lot of time ^^

And yeah, each base is a castle. Side effect of the fewer cities is that there is a lot less of a tech race and more strategic
battle, which helps if there is one overwhelming big enemy, since he has to spread out his attention and cant just throw a
mega at each flank.

OS could use a little buff since they can be denied the 3rd factory and be
bottle necked
