An attempt at making a smaller "river-bisected" map.

This map has a really bad case of Second Turn Advantage...

I think AI Review and general live AWBW players doesn't like this map lol.
Maybe because it's STA of P2's first tank at "strong side" by maximum income force P1 deploy first tank (and second to
reinforce & counter first strike) at "weak side",
Contested (by 2 nearest base's tank moves) comm. tower make competitive Javier almost do not exist,
Contested (also barely by 2 nearest base's tank moves) lab as HQ is a recipe for HQ cheese and nullify other small tactics
or big strategies,
And other stuffs that could go wrong in your "An attempt at making a smaller "river-bisected" map" despite it's a great idea
although seemingly poor execution.

Since this one dropped the A-rank and has been long overdue for an overhaul let's give it a fair shake! No more income FTA and more properties on the sides to fight for, huzzah!
MontySigurdson (07/17/2025 06:34pm):
It's great that the skip is gone, but this lacks contested properties I think - players can handshake a lot of the contested properties (and they probably will since not handshaking means making subpar attacks most of the time) and if that happens, there are like 2-4 contested properties left (probably less).
Star Bright (07/17/2025 07:29pm):
Shuffled up the properties to push a few more towards contestability, which also meant editing the terrain a surprising deal.
MontySigurdson (07/18/2025 09:29pm | Edited: 07/18/2025 09:46pm):
I think it's better than before but still not quite A-rank material unfortunately. The players can still handshake the outer properties so if no one plays very aggressively from the start, the map is at risk of turning into a middle brawl as the only immediately contested properties will be there.

Ultimately I think the frontline is too short as vehicles sitting in the middle can defend almost two thirds of the front. So if you want to improve this one further, I suggest you slow down one of the bases with terrain to get a more diagonal frontline and/or you add heavier terrain in the middle so that vehicles cannot defend so much of the frontline when sitting mid. Making this work would require several heavy edits though, not sure if it's worth the effort tbh - you might as well make a new map at this point IMO.

Nitpick: BBoat HP should probably be fine at 1.
