Originally was gonna be called Colour of Honour as I initially planned on a lot more sea - blue - but changed to plural for a bad - 'dad' - pseudo-joke with BH and WN as it's supposed that white is all colours/wavelengths of light and black is a complete absence of them. Hopefully the map will play a lot better than its name! XD I fancied making a standard map rather than the high-funds ones I usually end up crafting, but I've tried to make it so it can also play well as a FoW map, though I likely haven't managed well there simply cos I tend to avoid fog games myself. The HQs are only so close to the centre to make keeping the lander on them for protection more enticing, hopefully making the decision to do that or move it for early-game transport difficult, otherwise I'd have them just a little less 'contested'. Constructive criticism welcome, of course :-)

I'm tempted to move the central mountains one tile each to go from adjacent to the HQs to instead be adjacent to the lab...

They're only that far forward because I want to entice the WN player into taking all the western ports and the BH one to take all the eastern ones, rather than one player having all the southern ports and the other all the northern ones. Thought it would help dynamic gameplay, especially with the nearby airports bound to be owned by the other player! :-) Which is also why the pre-owned bases are so far apart. In fact I was thinking about moving the neutral bases one tile further away from the starting locations to add another factor into the dilemma of moving one's lander off the HQ or not! I guess either way only play-testing will reveal whether my choices of positioning things have worked out to my intentions or not, especially as I'm a little unsure about whether I've put enough properties into the sides of the map to drag most of the heavy conflict away from the centre - another reason I haven't moved those neutral bases by that one tile like I was thinking of doing - which is why the comm towers are where they currently are...

Shifted a few tiles around, notably moving the neutral bases one space further away from the nearest pre-owned one for an extra factor in the dilemma of moving the lander off from defending the HQ - though I'll revert that change if it leads to everyone moving the lander - and making the comm towers a little more contested - a few spaces further away from the nearest airport - as well as adding a couple of cities into the general areas, once again in order to draw some of the heavier conflict away from the centre.
