Inspired from this map http://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=10469
jhuni (05/07/2006 03:14pm):
Needs more reefs
zero212 (05/07/2006 03:17pm):
.....dude there are no sea units why the heck would you be needing more reefs?
anyhow its a nice map i would personally add some roads but thats just me 8/10
jhuni (05/07/2006 03:19pm | Edited: 05/07/2006 03:24pm):
reefs are good for decoration i was thinking reefs at the end of both the rivers or something
like that idk.
Pyrranha (05/22/2006 08:26am):
The redo doesn't remind me of the original in the slightest.
Nahbien (05/30/2006 12:20pm):
Two teams each on their half of a small circular map, with one bridge in the center, and a
bridge apeice going towards an airport hidden behind a mountain wall with the same
dimentions doesn't remind you of the other one? Oh well.
Blade (09/18/2006 07:32am):
BM has a FTA IMO, because they reach an airport without any serious problems and with
another 2 fresh built infantry they can avoid capturing southern airport by OS.
blanci1 (08/22/2008 02:02am | Edited: 02/09/2009 04:15pm):
Good map.. realistic feel..... much more open than original with many attack routes :
also mechs cross mountains/ rivers ..plus air .... Map analysis shows from 54
games only 1 draw (unspecific)... no sign of choke up.
blanci1 (08/22/2008 02:20am):
Blade may have a point... though its not so clear and quite complex since for example (1)
OS could also follow blades advice and use both his 1st day infantry to stop BM capturing
the airport and later send a recon to guard the other. Alternatively (2) OS could get a recon
on day 2 and place it on the forest in front of his airport on day 4 just in time to stop any
interference from BM. Or (3) OS could just send a later infantry to " top up" his capturing
and injured infantry. Also (4) Blades idea of BM trying to rush to both airports neglects both
early funding and central control and other strategic issues ... which could be dodgy. So
because its unclear, it could be left to see in practice how it plays out. -----Or simply the
airports could be shifted back or sideways one square making it very certain whose airport
is whose.
blanci1 (08/27/2008 05:52am | Edited: 02/09/2009 06:22pm):
also playing the map indicates the airports alone wont win the game due to limited funding
--- and so far out of 60 games only 1 possibly drawn ..// UPDATE// out of 110 games we
have 58 BM v 54 OS wins --meaning 2 draws (unspecific).... appears fair and non-drawish.
Slickdc (09/15/2008 08:58am):
I would let my opponent capture the airbase across the bridge by their HQ and put a Missles
unit in the woods where the road ends and use a Recon in the woods somewhere to see
the airbase. Then when ever your opponent builds an air unit, "BAM!," instant killl! It will
seriously cause them to lose massive funding while you capture the airbase but scarsly
produce units there. Instead you build tanks and AA Vehicles and slowly save up for a
Megatank or Bomber. Then charge the enemy once you have lowered their funding below
yours. Thats what I'm doing in one game; I am currently winning.
rast2 (10/28/2008 11:09pm):
FYI slick, missiles have vision range of 5.
cole35 (12/10/2008 07:20am):
wtf
blanci1 (02/09/2009 03:30pm):
(anti-air) misiles have vision 5 wow ((not to be confused with flying black bombs, nor
missiles from silos))
Lost and Found (07/18/2021 01:31pm):
Unranked for horrid front design
