Almost released this without putting in terrain >_> Please note that I didn't want any corals. Balance is good, 'cause orange star has an army, but not much of a base. |
|
sirfuxalot (10/06/2007 04:20pm):
Oh yeah, real balanced. |
|
Bobary (10/06/2007 04:23pm):
Idiots not allowed here. adimittedly, teal galaxy might get fried, but they stand a chance properly played. GE is safe cause of it's distance from everyone. BH is probably not going to rush, though. |
|
ironraven24 (10/06/2007 04:26pm):
Okay, first of all this is not balanced: - Green Earth is at a large disadvantage. - The pre-deoployed force fore Orange star will only help little, ofr capturing purposes. That small force wont match the income and base manufacturing power of the Black hole. I suggest you look at for a while and agust it, Blanaced does't mean everyone ahs the same amount of proerties, think about FTA. |
|
Bobary (10/06/2007 04:31pm):
That's exactly what I was thinking. If BH rushes, OS will still have time to gather a force, cause TG will be fighting. GE, thanks to road systems, will be able to capture the towns nearby, so they aren't disadvantaged. Also, they can bombard from the ocean. |
|
Bobary (10/06/2007 04:33pm):
Also, I should really explain what I had in mind. This is a neutral territory at the borders of 4 nations. OS is invading, thats why they have an army. BH has the largest presence, and was in the midst of propaganda when other nations stepped up their presence. that's why their citys are mixed with whites. GE wasn't expecting war, but has the bouns of a navy. TG is there to block BH while OS consolidates. |
|
Bobary (10/06/2007 04:39pm):
Also, if you don't play your cards right as BH, you're screwed, cause GE will come charging down and TG will be advancing on you. all in all, good work for 20 min. |
|
twinblade (10/06/2007 04:49pm):
Uhh... First of all, BH is waayyyy to powerful. They have 4 comm towers with easy access to two more, and even MORE within striking distance. Essentailly, if BH plays badly, it has a lrage income and forces with 160% attack. Now TG is screwed, because OS will initiallty capture the stuff to the north, because of the predeployed units. Now, it also should be able to fairly quickly acquire 6 towers, but it will soon lose the one in the north, and 3 of the others are easily contestable by BH. BH will easily win out over TG because it has more safe comm towers, more uncontested access to properties, and it only contends with TG for a good number of days. TG contends with two opponents, being centralized, and a lot of the neutrals around it it will have to fight for. If TG falls, that gives BH like 50% of the income and 10+ towers. Even without Javier, thats a ridiculously strong nation. It should win almost all of the time. |

Everything that i have a problem with has been said to some degree. Instead of me typing it out, you can just reread all the negative comments that happen above this one. well, except for, "BH, Three Labs? behidn their HQ from combat? if there's a lab unit, what is it? and what does BH gain from the other two???????" |
|
Bobary (10/08/2007 01:05am):
I've been away for a looooooooooong time, so i'm like "Wtf is this building? better stick it here" Also, diplomacy is NOT out of the question. Think Gondo and Mordor here. TG and BH are enemies to the end. everyone else are pawns. the objective is to own the entire area, so backstabbing will be common. BH is the most powerful because it's been here longest, and TG's job is to delay until the other nations are strong enough to counter BH. BH's citys should be spread out a little, but, eh. And still no praise for innoavative design. *sobs* |

It's certainly different to most maps on here, and I think it does look a bit odd. But the more I look at it the more I like it. I think a bit more terrain variety would make it better, but I think it'd be quite fun to play. Bad points: unnecessary silos, BH owns the map and terrain is a bit dodgey. 7/10 |
|
twinblade (10/08/2007 04:36pm):
"Bad points: unnecessary silos, BH owns the map and terrain is a bit dodgey. 7/10 " BH owns the map - 7/10? Honestly, if all this map had wrong with it was dodgey terrain and silos, then it would be 7/10. The fact that its completly unbalanced makes this 3/10 at best. |
|
Bobary (10/10/2007 11:37pm):
Made some updates, and no, for the last friggin time, BH does NOT! own the map. I lowered their income a bit, and gave others starting units, including a quicker get-together for red, with their "recon" force. silos I added, just because I could, and whats a map without silos? Terrain is as best I can do, any ssuggestions? BH MIGHT!! have an FTA, but it won't last. honestly, get a brain before remarking. |

Tyrael (10/11/2007 05:49pm):
Bobary: "whats a map without silos?" A better map then one WITH silos? |
|
DuelStriker (10/11/2007 06:34pm):
FTA FTW. |
|
Bobary (10/12/2007 12:13am):
Any suggestions? (I like the silos. They do look messy though.) |

DJ Modulo (10/12/2007 01:49am):
OMG 1. Crowded Terrain 2. Orange Star GETS bases VERY quickly. Let OS be Javier and no one stands a chance. 3. What are these pipe seams to be good for? So 1/10, sorry |
|
Bobary (10/20/2007 03:53pm):
OS needs those bases quickly. BH won't trouble GE because GE will bomb the crap out of their units as they come up. Crowded Terrain is better than lack of terrain. Pipes are.. just.. there, to block people from swarming over the river. More inticement for the bridges. |

sirfuxalot (10/20/2007 04:41pm):
There doesn't need to be so many com towers...this is just too chaotic for to even be able to judge it. Maybe if I saw a test game? |
|
Bobary (10/26/2007 12:19am):
Com towers = Radio stations for me. Just little outposts for vision. |
