This map is a re-creation of the final campaign mission from Advance Wars 2. However, it is NOT meant to be a square-for-square replica. Instead, I have made a few changes to the map in order to approximate most of Black Hole's special capabilities and advantages from the cartridge.

First of all, I gave Black Hole 4 com towers. This way if Black Hole picks Sturm, it will match Sturm's AW2 stats.

The original map featured several Black Cannons. Those could shoot at a wide swathe of the map, but most of the areas they could target were of no strategic importance at all. The only important areas they could hit were the 4 properties on the central island, and several squares AROUND the left and right neutral factories (but not the factories themselves). The 4 southern piperunners I placed cover these critical properties.

I have moved some cities from elsewhere on the map so that those piperunners can stand on cities. This is to prevent those piperunners from being crippled by global damage, because the original black cannons were immune to global damage. A downside is that Black Hole will lose some money to repairs, but I think this is the best available approximation of his original abilities.

Black Hole had several completely useless minicannons in the top left and top right, where they covered absolutely nothing important. The only notable thing was that they blocked Black Hole from getting to the missile silos. I have placed pipes and piperunners there to block Black Hole in that same way. I did not put any cities under those piperunners, because those piperunners are strategically worthless (like the minicannons were) and I don’t want Black Hole to lose huge amounts of money repairing them if hit by global damage.

There is no way to re-create the effects of the Death Ray, but it was totally unimportant most of the time except as a win condition anyway.

I placed pipe seams in the locations where the black cannons and death ray originally stood. If the pipe seam representing the Death Ray (16, 06) is destroyed, Black Hole should resign. If the pipe seam representing the left Black Cannon (12, 16) is destroyed, Black Hole should delete the two southern piperunners on that side. Likewise if the right black cannon pipe seam (20, 16) is destroyed.

Just in case Black Hole doesn’t follow that informal rule, I have also given Black Hole an HQ (and removed a useless city to keep the income the same). The square I placed the HQ on is the one where a bomber was in range to wipe out the Death Ray in the original map, so this seems like the best available approximation of that win condition.
