This is a 2-player symmetrical map inspired by most competitive StarCraft maps. Like in SC you have a main and a natural as well as an expansion to take in the northwestern and southeastern location of the map. The middle represents a "gold mine" which some SC maps have. Those two cities while not a lot will add incentive to move units there still. There are two islands that are of interest because it's the only way to get a Com. Tower and a Seaport. The map is surrounded by water much like how SC maps are always surrounded by space. You can move air and sea units around the map for drops. Blue is given a free Infantry to offset FTA to some extent. |

There’s now STA |

the most common set up to counter FTA is for each side to start with 2 factories and gave p2 a single infantry for the map, it looks like it would be possible to use a recon to prevent capturing the 3rd factory. also there are not many contested cities--maybe consider adding more cities in the center to give each side more things to fight over / reasons to push into the center |

Thanks for the feedback. I am currently thinking about giving Red the northwestern factory, and giving Blue the southeastern factory, to create a "strong side/weak side" from the get-go. I suppose that would also make the FTA/STA situation better? Also considering moving the Com. Towers onto the actual map, to give more things to fight for, and putting another city in place of the Com. Tower on the islands . Additionally I will try to add another two cities in the middle as you suggested. Also (last thing, promise), I want to add a little more terrain on the map, because after testing a little it feels like the map is too open and tanks can rotate too easily and it's also hard to move your units around when tire units have that much mobility. Will edit the map in a few days tops check back then if you're interested in following the evolution of the map. |
