"NOMAD Start": Will you settle in the closest lands to have a quick start, although probably highly contested? Or will you venture a bit further to settle and have a later start, and build up an invasion force to other lands later on? All feedback is welcome, try the map out, different settings and let me know, it probably needs a ton of balance tweaks, so I value comments/reviews. I had these settings in mind: - FFA or 2v2 Team Game (teams can be North v South, East v West, or probably the spiciest Red + Yellow VS Blue + Green) - Standard or Fog - Cap limit, as it's impossible to cap enemy HQs (I think 68 is good, which is 50% +1 of all properties excluding labs). This way, if you're the clear winner you don't have to be chasing down every single unit. Geography: It's extremely hard to make a perfect geographic map, I looked up major rivers, major mountains and other geographic stuff on the different continents so as to portray as closely as possible without limiting gameplay (too bad there isn't a "desert" terrain *sad*, I used the broken pipeline but I'm not very convinced of it). I didn't add a river in Europe because it's so small it would be even more chokepoint-y. Asia is kind of squished and stretched towards the North East, again, this is really hard. Let me know if there's any iconic geographical element that I should definitely include (or remove). All reviews for balance purposes are HIGHLY appreciated, this is my first map ever made :) Thanks and enjoy! |

Player 3 has a massive advantage because they can get the blackboat to the port in Poland on day 2, unloading the infantry to the forest and shoal. This not only blocks player 4 from access but also gives them two immediate factories while players 1 & 2 are stuck in africa and south america that have nowhere near the amount of cities as eurasia, nor are they as close, which creates a big disparity in the income curve. Also, the Gibaltar and Suez chokes are way more easily controlled from Eurasia than from Africa, since there is more terrain coming from the south. Since Player 1 & 2 are fighting for control over the Atlantic airports to defend against air attack, player 4 has free reign and player 4 is relegated to north america which cannot threaten Asia at all. |
