For fog. This is a remake of an experimental map I had made previously. I won't go over the change log since the old map is no longer around and massive changes have taken place. The overall look of the map is roughly the same, as is the general idea behind the map but in execution it should play far different than before. As last time, any constructive feedback is appreciated. Vers 1.1 - Altered the weak side terrain significantly. Was previously possible to lock the mountain & side properties incredibly easy and was near impossible to crack unless you were in a game winning position. Altered weak side base area terrain slightly to allow for slightly faster movement from one of the bases. Changed the pipe seam in the middle to incentivise players to make use of it. Altered strong side terrain to allow units to leave far faster than before. This was done to hopefully shift the fronts in a much more dynamic and interesting manner. This change is tentative and more may have to be done to stop fronts from being cut down the middle. Widened the bridge in the certain by an extra bridge to further incentivise using the pipe seam route. Changed terrain near the strong side lab. |

I wanted this to work, but i notice a few problems. P2 seems to have a really strong recon opening from the top right, as it can slam onto the double-city-mountain area and interrupt both of P1 caps, while P1 can't do the same to P2 on the other side, and there's no build that P1 can do to respond. An option would be to slow down recon movement from that base. I also think maybe it'd benefit from having HQs or other pre-owned props to give starting income because vehicles are so delayed here, add to that that it's 4b, it quickly becomes a sea of infs. I'd consider also putting pipe seam(s) on the more middle base on tiles (09,17) and/or (09,18) to slow down reinforce to center. |
