Recommended Bans: Kanbei, Broken Trio, sensei, Blackbombs, and definitely stealths. Lab units should be set to all the air units. That way, TG can't use its nearby airport until they grab BH's lab, and AB can't use the middle airport until it captures the lab east of the BM cities. YC=Japan, OS=USA(they have a base in southern Japan island called Okinawa), BM=Russia, TG=South Korea, BH=North Korea, and AB=China. Any country can win: Japan has major fund advantage, but it'll have to fight off both Russia and USA. Russia has the best predeployed units and potential to expand both east and south, but it does not have any airports nearby have to fight off China trying to capture its cities. USA also has good predeployed units, but their expansion will be slow due to their lack of funding in the beggining. China also gets a slow start, but once they defeat Russians invading their land(which shouldn't be hard with two bases to use) it won't take long for them to advance on to the Koreans. South Korea and South Korea'll fight against each other, and once the duel is over, who ever remaining will be a major threat to the mainland Japan and China. I balanced it as much as I could, but any comments(idc about rates) would be appreciated. |

Its highly unbalanced. I've noticed tha you said North Korea launched some missiles and so they got silos... China , Russia, and the USA are all have nuclear ICBMs (although I'm not sure if the US has a launch site on Okinawa). Yellow has all that free room to take stuff in, and the only (close to) fair way I can find would be to make it all vs. Japan. |

Plus, how is OS and BM supposed to fight when they are on 2 tiny tips of land and have only a factory? Their pre- deployed units would be destroyed and they would just stay on that tip of land and not move. |

*added a bcopter for OS and Bship for BM, moved the base on northern island closer to BM, changed the GS tank to recon* OS can start capturing the base on their second turn... And there's no way for japan to stop that. Even if BH decides to shoot 2 silos at the capturing infantry(which is highly stupid,) OS can still capture the base on their fourth turn. |

*put a pipe seam in between GS and BH, changed GS recon back into tank. Also, an infantry is added for both GS and BH.* ...Somebody mind explaining to me why they gave a 1? |

As a picture of japan its good but as a advance wars map its not good. Whats wrong with it? oomouwmouw (08/06/2006 11:31pm): uh.. BH is so dead. |

Interesting concept... but uh.. BH is so dead. |

Black Mont-Blanc (08/07/2006 02:20am):
North Korea is BH? hahaha. You should change GS into TG. And, please put on Bridges. (6, 27),(10. 27),(13, 27),(27, 11) |
|
bakabonest (08/07/2006 01:23pm):
Alright, I added bridges(ports w/ penguins) to connect the islands. I didn't add 10,27 and 13,27 ones 'cause I thought that will give OS too much advantage... besides, it will look nasty. But I did notice that place being a bit chokepointy, so I removed a mountain for smoother movements. Also powered up Korean countries a bit by adding a city each.... |

Cobalt Ice does not have an HQ. |
|
Phlute (08/27/2006 12:02am):
Sylux: CI isn't supposed to have an HQ. The infantry are simply neutral units that disappear when the battle starts. The production facilities cannot actually make units, but these ports can be captured, serve as "bridges," heal ships, and provide defense. Bakabonest: The whole artillery-over-the-pipe is a huge problem for BH and JS(?) |

The maps obviously imbalanced just look at it how unsymmetrical it is, and ٭IMBAL should be pretty clear. BH just fires his 2 missile silos, and then teal and BH fight it out the rest of the game well having no significance to what is really happening in the game + the teal vs BH battle is imbalanced (the propertie count). What more needs to be said? Well theres alot more balance issues to be cause for concern, but I have already stated more then enough. Japan's size is off the area where yellow comet is should be wider, and the area where CL INF (northeast) is should have quite a bit of sea. Your terrain variety is off to fix this add some reefs in the corner. You would be lucky to get a 5 on this map, because we all can just go look at a picture of japan instead of this, because all this map is here for is show value (since theres practicly no playability), and ur terrain variety is off along with alot of japan. 4/10 |

bakabonest (10/16/2006 03:38pm):
>jhuni I know my recreation of Japan isn't perfect, but it's pretty darn close. The center area seems fine to me, and yes, there is suppose to be a body of water between honsyu and hokkaido but that'd make it less fun to play. Besides, sea units can still pass. And yes, Teal does get more properties than BH. That's why BH has two silos. Teal and BH will most likely end their battle before others, and once that happenes who ever remaining will be a major threat. Anyways, as I'm play testing this, I've noticed that OS is screwed if YC makes an AA quickly and sends its cruisers. I'll give them a bit more starting fund. |

punyinfantry (11/18/2006 02:43pm | Edited: 11/18/2006 02:45pm):
Get rid of OS, BH and AB. Spread out Japan. Japan is supposed to be consist of 4 main Islands. I think this map is better off as a 3 player game. It has just too little land and too much ocean to fight with 6 players. TG can try to take one Japanese Island in the south. BM will take Hokkaido. But make it so YC secures the entire main Japanese Island for sure. Make BM and TG HQs closer so they won't like gang up and kill YC. Playability is more important then putting armies for each country in a game. |
