TEAM ORDER ABBA Far from your average 2v2 map. This one incorporates several asymmetrical elements into itself to create a highly designed experience so it can be as dynamic as possible. Mixed bases, locations, multiple fronts, multiple openings, lots of teamwork and teamwork planning (especially early game), lots of movement overlap (with your teammate AND against your opponents), and the possibility of negotiation with your teammate regarding properties. It's already hard enough to find good team maps that employ even one of these elements well, let alone all of them! While the map might feel on the small side, it still balances available space well so long as nobody miscalculates their movement for the first few turns. The small size also makes positioning and combat much more tactical, especially in the early game, which even medium sized maps simply cannot replicate. Because of these two things, the early game's importance is much greater, so I highly recommend reviewing the map carefully so you can understand how major landmasses are connected and where certain units can actually move. If you like 2v2 maps and have become bored with the commonality that befall most team maps, don't hesitate to try this one out. It's refreshing. |

It's an interesting map but too many bases are weirdly placed for my liking. [02,09] and [18,07] can only produce Infantry or Mechs to be effectively used. Bases on [02,02] and [18,13] are locked out by a pipelane. So you are once again forced to produce Foot-Soldiers. There is no point in investing in an Artillery since it will soon to be attacked by Battle Helicopters. Rushing into Air units is really strong on this map. Forcing Anti-Air which is getting blocked by mountains near the bases. So you really can dance around them. Black tiles are interesting but give Air-Units too much movement. Maybe connecting them to the Base [02,09] [18,07] and the main island could be an alternative? Either way. Have Fun! |
