Dude built a Piperunner against me and actually came back from a losing position. I rushed com towers turn 1 and almost won
but I got cocky and overextended. This map is gimmicky as hell but super fun. Just gotta be super careful to only build
footsoldiers on the base surrounded by mountains. To be optimal you always pick Sami in Tier 4 and Kindle in Tier 3 or maybe
even tier 2. Tier 1 would probably be Sturm. I don't think this should be in Global League but I don't think it's a bad map.

This map is "pick Sami or lose". If your opponent doesnt blatantly misplay, you cannot counteract the extreme mech support of
this map, and thats without taking into consideration that you will have no com towers and your opponent has 2 if they picked
Sami, with no way to actually do anything about it. You cannot stop her from capturing both instantly, and even if you could,
thats an infantry spam fight, good luck. This map should have never under any circumstances be used for an official
tournament. Its just stupidly ridiculous

As the guy who made this map (and didn't pick it or anything, I only found out when people
showed me it was gonna be round 1), I fully agree that Sami being legal in tier 3 has been super
weird right away and the winrate agrees completely.
Some people said her not getting banned was either an experiment or an oversight, I don't
know, but I would've limited her to tier 1 only personally.

That said, I'm also not sure why so many people are blaming my map for what tier setting the
tournament used that my map/I had no input on, especially considering Sami already tends to
move around the tiers alot in fog maps otherwise.


As far as the "Under Review" thing goes, games here went in various, very different ways in
division 1 (but there was 90% of the stated "Sami runs over the 1b side" everywhere else, and it
likely isnt just Samis fault either), never stalemated & had alot of really interesting army
compisitions in many games across all divisions that normally aren't seen in fog games much.
However, a map this hard to read (considering all the stray vehicle builds on the infantry base ive
seen as well as how razorwire sharp some earlygame stuff is) is clearly gonna be a bad idea for
league games and probably also future tournaments.

everyone's whining about sami but kindle has a higher winrate. Pelayers suffer from a lack of imagination and see one (1) base
thats default all infantry and assume samis the only practical choice

Kindle has a higher winrate, but that's largely because Sami's rate is hurt by how many Sami
mirrors there were (each mirror is +1 win / 1 loss, so it brings the WR closer to 50), and many
of Kindle's wins are higher seeded players while Sami was more evenly picked across both
sides. I'm not sure Kindle having a higher winrate is a good indication here.

That aside, "only practical choice" is a strange statement. Sami just has an incredibly potent
and easy to do gameplan compared to everyone else in T3 (and Kindle can do the same thing
vs other COs while having own good counterattack options in the center), so yeah, she's better
for what most people wanna go for.

Slow push base trade doesnt work so well for fog as it might work okay in standard. Its just too telegraphed and not enough
options or dynamism in the play. Also doesnt have the movement and scouting you are looking for in fog matches.

If I were to redesign things I would adjust the bases so the one base is stronger and its not a most likely base trade.
