Another banger by HarmonicaDog that includes innovative map design features that can be commonly found in all his other maps: [1] Teleport Tiles [2] Innovative "Bridges" for naval units [3] Creative and Critical early game choices [4] Options for Land, Air, and Sea [5] Well crafted territorial lines that are easy to see and identify [6] Lab positioning that matters All in a compact layout that gets to the action quickly and is nice to look at. This map works for both Standard and Fog. Each lane's basic 1 Base layout makes unit and investment choices matter, alongside positioning. This map's design also boasts a uniquely "delayed" strong side. Both lanes are 1 Base vs 1 Base until each player unlocks their airport, which twists the dynamic of that lane in favor of one player. However, the natural territory on each player's developed strong side is well within their half of the map. This means that even after a player has a successful push on their strong side, they aren't immediately threatening their opponent's base and other critical territory. They still need to continue pushing, hold the newly won territory, and make ensure they're not over extending. HarmonicaDog continues to prove why he is one of the best Map Designers on AWBW. Global League and Tournaments should either use his maps or adopt some of his designs. |
