It's a good first map when you've got a clear focus for where players need to be, but there's
some serious imbalance.
If OS and YC play their cards right, they can deny GE the closest neutral bases, effectively
locking them into a corner. GS is also in a tricky spot, since they'll only have one reliable base in
the north, having to buy expensive landers to reinforce. Even then, an early recon from BM can
shut down GS's hopes of getting on the mainland since it is very difficult to island hop without
getting first striked - unless you're Eagle or playing in fog.
Their ports are also the only ones shoalocked, so if it was a crazy high funds match, GS couldn't
terrorise everyone with battleships.
To help with countering FTA, consider giving Grey Sky a lander or a black boat to start out with,
also supplying GE and RF with an infantry.
The missile silos are also going to be completely untouched by GE and GS (perhaps have a pair
out in the ocean near them). Even then, GE's port needs to be swapped with the western city as
YC can easily artillery lock it. Having Green Earths port on the west side will also make sure GS
won't get a guaranteed comm tower every
time.
OS should have plenty of time to secure the middle especially with the eastern neutral base,
probably making them the biggest threat. I can kind of see the map as GS vs BM, OS vs GE and
YC vs RF if FFA, but I think with these issues, there's a good chance for a good player to quickly
snowball.
With aesthetics, the rivers kind of stand out as being unfinished, but I know they're a tricky tile
set to work with.
These are just the things that stand out to me, others will probably see this map differently.
