Since a lot of people are copying the FTA counter on this map: the starting board is not balanced (it is +1000 for P1). Do not
copy this setup on your maps.

The fix is to turn one of the neutral bases that P1 caps into a P2 owned base. This gives P2 1000 gold since it generates 1
instance of income on P2 day 1.

I disagree re: shoe's analysis above. This setup is fine to copy.

The funding balances out by day 4 and the vehicle timing is balanced, as well. His proposal does indeed also work, but there is
only a negligible difference in balance between the two options. You can use either one interchangeably (as long as vehicle
timing balances).

If the vehicle order on this setup is balanced then that is merely a coincidence that arises as a property of the way the neutral
cities are distributed.

It should be broken on most neutral city setups.

edit: ok vehicle order is actually still ABXBA on this map, "flipped" version of this map (P2 inf moved from top right base to left
base), Darkling Woods and flipped version of Darkling Woods, so my statement was incorrect. P2's first 4 caps (neutral
base + 3 neutral cities) are sufficient for d4 1st tank + d5 2nd tank and P1 never gets d5 2nd tank.

How is a game supposed to go on this map? Maintaining your isolated factory and attacking their factory+airpor from two fronts
to secure your HQ? Are the HQs indefensible with good play so it's a cap race? I'd be interested in seeing some high level
games on this map.

Copter opening for P1 feels very oppressive, and forces multiple anti-airs in a best case scenario, while P2 doesn't have the economy to properly reply with an immediate copter since P1 can build an AA the turn after and lock down the P2 copter in a way P2 can't do to P1. Some tweaks to mitigate FTA would go a long way in improving the map, since I think it is otherwise very fun.
