This map is simple enough. Your a lone infantray man (Or a megatank and rockets). PLAY ON
FOG OF WAR! YOU MUST DO THIS! The rockets are to stop someone from hiding in the corner
the whole game. Of couse, the citys are there to stop you from running out of fuel. Just
be the last one to survive from the megatank.

if you play FoW on then the rockets won't be able to see anything, they have a vision of 1.
and shouldnt' all the cities be OS?
that way the mega tank can never run out.
heres a suggestion, put OS Cities in the corners, you can see your own cities, so then the
rockets can see.

Actually, you should also change the rockets to piperunners, since they have a vision of 4,
allowing you to hit anybody in the corners. Make sure to change the pipes around the
piperunner to mountains, though.

The cities are different so EVERYONE has gas and ammo. Now if only I could ban capturing,
however the megatank could get over there and blow them up before they coudl capture if it
was an OS base...I guess ill add corner cities RIGHT NOW! But I cant make the rockets
piperunners as the shooting range will cover the entire map with a 2-9 range.

No, piperunners have a range of 2~5, not 2~9. They have 9 MOVEMENT.

This is a "1" map because Mega Tanks can't eally see far and that means all the infantry are
likely to be not seen until the megatank bumps into them. this will be a war between infantry,
the megatank will just eliminate some unlucky player.

If you play in fog, OS will never kill anyone that is smart. Mega moves and runs into
infantry. Infantry moves one square outside of its vision. Repeat.

In FoW, The infantry could be just stalling until you run into them and when you do, they
run away.

I should fix that... The BD infantry is too close to the Mega. (Although FF deserved to be
pwnt for his horrid maps...)

If the non OS players are well coordinated, then OS will lose every single city (assuming fow)

Turn all the non OS cities onto bases, turn the OS cities into HQs(remove the other one),
stick a lab in the middle, then make all the units lab units. If the tank sits on the lab, start
capturing his HQs. Whoever gets the lab first wins.

This is a fun map guys...its more like tag with everyone on one team and OS on
another...in reality OS shall always win...but if people sit down and play it like real
tag then its a funny little skermish. =p

I agree with lipucd. "Tag, you're dead!" :P The only way to really let the last survivor win at
all is to have OS either set draw at that time or OS simply doesn't make a move for so long
that they forfeit. So that the lone survivor is at least recognized.

even if its recon or a tank its almost the same thing because recon is wheeled... and most of
the terrain is plains... thus 8/2 = 4... (8 movement range, 2 plains fuel consumption, 4total
movement...) the movement is almost the same (because of the cities).

However, recons get a HUGE vision bonus and there are no forests here. That more or less
defeats the purpose for FoW.

It *is* true that someone could simply move over a space when they ambush the Mega, but
eventually they have to come back for rations. All the Mega has to do really then, is make
sure to hang out near the cities of the last survivors, and occasionally also getting fuel, or
just sit still for a few moves. Either way, it's not enough to completely destroy the balance of
the game IMO. 9/10

Whoever wins the lab beats OS by building units. Perhaps there could be 2 labs so the
megatank wouldn't just sit on one.

Also, this is a real fun map idea. Certainly enjoying our game on it so far.
It doesn't matter if you don't win since OS wins every time. It's about which person survives
longest!

how bout instead of the lab idea you change the lab into 2 OS HQ's.
that way you have to compete over the HQ (with your infantry friends)... While running
away from the mega (with the friend in the mega)... capturing the HQ would be the only way
to win...
i dont know if this idea was already mentioned...
if it was sorry... if it wasnt then throw your opinion about it...

0/10, acturally, os can not kill any infantry, what others need to do is just wait until the mega
come, then run......in the centre, out of the range of missile. This is an infinite war.

INCREDIBLE-------just look how many comments this map has recieved!!! must be a record or
something ----- i m actually not much bothered about the details, TRUE- there may be some
technical problems,, they can be fixed or another map done with some changes... but this
map seems to me to be very original in concept...is there anything similar??? where?
It reminds me of the warm-up to bullfights when a small bullock runs round after a bunch of
kids.. its pot-luck who gets corned.. but its generally fun (ps a spanish minister is instigating
to stop the kill at the end of bull fights, so perhaps we should not be allowed to kill this Mega
Bull either !

too bad you can't prevent a unit from firing (or can you? I haven't made maps on AWBW
before ¯\(º_o)/¯. If that was possible, you could give OS a
tank to scout out infantry a little easier then the megatank just runs in from behind and
he can actually attack it. A recon (for my impossible scenario) would be a little much
because it would make FoW near-useless.

can surely be made playable , can spawn a whole generation of Bull fight type maps,
like the zombie maps (which could be improved too). ok its not General Patton or Rommel
territory. no, its something else. This could be turned into a real time familly PS2 or Wii game if
you have a lot of controllers for everyone, ok without fog , but reaction speed would count
instead. mmmm

I presume this is a non-fog game?
Just noticed this map has another superlative...The "map analysis" shows it has the highest
average days per game (20+) of virtually any map at awbw ! equalling DuelStrikers Battle
Arena (which indicates its not boring with bootings and early general disapointment and
abandonment). However we have to be careful with statistics ... and this map is unusual
having only one unit to move per player so its probably in great part very high for this reason.

give OS an APC or two to act as (a) scout(s) for the mega tank. That effectively just gives
the mega tank a flare-like ability to help find the infantry

but instead, why not just change the meg-tank into an ordinary tank, so it has vision 3, and
replace rockets w/ artillery, move pipe so artillery has the corner space, and the 2 spaces
next to the corner each w/ city @ corner, Anose?
