For Standard (It could, in theory, work for fog too, but I haven't tested it for fog. It has a similar forest layout to "Stalingrad", which is a fog map. But consider this a Std map for now.) I got a lot of help with this in the Discord! I'm hoping it can at least get a B-Rank. If it doesn't, I'll make changes until it's worthy of it. ๐ชDon't hold back any criticisms! |

Deserves a very average B-Rank, solid overall :) Having a lander/black boat per side in one of the shoal areas would be fun ๐ I do think a few scattered empty silos to liven up the terrain could be a simple improvement |

BB could be fun. If only it were DoR where transport ships can move across bridges! Alas. I could certainly be convinced to add some empty silos. I'm mainly a DoR mapper, where defensive terrain isn't nearly as potent, so I've found that I need to hold back a bit when transferring between games, haha. That's the main reason I placed those beaches along the frontline; I wanted to make sure I didn't create a situation where it's very easy to defend! That said, it's not like a scattering of silos will swing the map into being unplayable, so I'll give it a go |

I liked this map more than I thought I would, that being said my game did stall out, though I did have 2 com towers and plowed them under not long after that. But I think the airport is just too far back. |

Thanks for the feedback! If I did move the airport, would it work just by the HQ? For example, just below the red one. You also mentioned elsewhere that hiding behind the BB seemed too easy. Would it be better if it was moved to the beach with the bridge near the corner? |

Funny that I stumbled on this, it has been a while and I have somewhat forgotten the game (I play too many, it is all a blur). Honestly, I am not sure as I am not a map maker, and I can only tell you how it played out. You could try just moving the airport up a few squares so it can be caputred faster, as for the black boat I don't know. |

Removed from Live due to capture skip strats exclusive to P1. P1 can skip up to two captures early (starting on day 2) and still get the intended BAAB tank order while P2 cannot do the same. |

Had to move this to B-rank unfortunately. On re-examination, this is one of the slower / more stally maps in the Live pool. Fighting before day 9 or so isn't quite feasible unless someone makes a mistake or outside of specific CO matchups. It also feels very tempting to just handshake properties early on instead of attacking since in a lot of cases you would have to interrupt captures from low-defense terrain. Besides being kinda slow, the map also has a lot of full-move city sitting spots for tanks, a fact that likely contributes to the stalliness. From the 08,19 base you have 13,19 and then 19,19. From 02,13, there's 07,12 and then 11,10. From 01,10, there are 00,05 and 05,08, then 00,00 and 05,04 (not a city, but a good sitting spot nonetheless) and possibly 09,06 (although that last one is a bit of a stretch). All of these city-sitting spots are almost completely surrounded by low-defense terrain, too, so attacking into a tank sitting on them is painful unless you've got 2 tanks there ready to attack. So that, I believe, also is a key factor for the map feeling stally. |
