I wanted a slower map that had a bunch of objectives to move towards, enough of them that interesting gameplay could develop based around what your opponent is prioritizing and how that affects the objectives you prioritize. There should be a lot to do, a pipe to burst for better access to the most easily contestable area, a property that needs to be flipped via lander and also the ability to pressure the enemy one base and comm tower via the lander. Ultimately I'm hoping for a lot of viable counterplay based around this idea. I do worry that due to how constricted the middle is it could easily come to a standstill, especially with global damage COs, I also worry that due to the number of immediate objectives there may be one unarguably best option with no counterplay. Time will tell? I think this map is meant for standard play, I worry with Fog that there is a volatile amount of surprise factor due to the number of early objectives, but maybe that'll make it more interesting. |
