A standard 1 vs 1 symmetrical map with some bizarre additions and exclusions. There is a port in the middle of nowhere which is strange, a comm tower in the corner which will essentially never be competitive, pretty barren in the middle. |

I was debating about the comm tower in the corner, I want to keep that 10% firepower constant to make stalemates less uncommon and shorter. Testing is still in-place as its hard to know what tier cos will work on this map. If you haven't had any experience with ports in maps yet, they are used as shoals/bridges with defensive terrain or used to lock down a certain area with a carrier or battleship. The port is meant to lock down the comm tower on the opposing side if a carrier or battleship is built, though its positioning with the exposed comm tower can be pushed up. The middle is purposefully open to make the HQ cap possible as having defensive terrain around an HQ is extremely difficult to capture. I'm thinking about moving the HQ closer to the middle of the map since the HQ can be easily reinforced by the two base side (the strong side). I'll see what to change once I get a couple of games in, speculating is one thing but playing matches out gives definite results. Thanks for your response! |
