What's the point of the com tower islands? If the b-boat ever moves, the other team gets a free anti-air and can still deny the com tower with the other.
It's also unreasonable to expect the center bases to try and take out the bboat with an artillery or something to unlock the lander, and it's definitely unreal to think the lander's side can take out the lander or AAs without falling behind elsewhere.

4 bases coming from all sides for a lot of actions. The high funds means you attack from all sides. The mountains provide
good tactical options for copters, mechs and ranged units. The spread out bases and high funds means that you build tanks
everywhere, and tech up an little late for High Funds.

because of the corner bases to be tucked away, they are difficult to treathen. So the game revolves around the left and right
middle bases, where troops can shift from one side to another. Don't know if an slight redesign would be better or worse.

Now the island settup is an little conveluted, and not much fun. When you clear it, the game is almost done anyway.

Seems a bit ... overdesigned to me, for lack of a better term. The tower/base islands just look like a 'win more'-kind of deal and might be irrelevant for most of the game. So it would perhaps be better to redesign that area (and maybe slightly change the base layout) to have a wider front instead.

Used pre-injured units to redesign the starting setup + island a bit.
The central bases are now 1 turn slower which should even out the tempo so the center base can't isolate the corners with a
vehicle advantage as easily (at least early game).
The island predeploys had their health tweaked so that an investment in killing the island pays off faster making it a viable
decision earlier in the game (but still mostly optional).

Btw, the islands are designed the way they are so that either player can take them, or one player can even take both. Imo,
even before the edit they were very relevant objectives. There's some really creative ways to do it, even I'm surprised what
some people came up with. (Shoutout to Jon-Do for killing the AA+recon from over the pipe, capturing the comm tower +
port, and ignoring the factory.)

Your FTA counter gives Sami FTA if she picks orange. However, considering how weak Sami usually is in mixed base high funds maps, perhaps this isn't a big deal...?

Easiest way to avoid this is by placing the infantry further from the base.

cool map. a lot of the cities require heavy investment to flip, so the islands provide a really interesting objective to plan towards.

Pretty solid mixed base map, and the gimmick is alright. I'm not sure if it's even that relevant though. I'll give it an 8/10

2025/9/24: okay, having played played this map again, I do think the gimmick is pretty relevant.
