The north/south sialnd bases have landlocked ports and are only accessible with a T-copter. Breaking the pipe seams does nothing. |

I see two major problems here. One is that (18,7) is a shoal, but its mirrored square of (4,15) is an ocean, meaning that only jade has access to air units for at minimum turns 5-15, giving them a significant advantage. The other is that the harbor at (3,8) and it's surrounding 3x2 is not properly mirrored with the one at (20,13), which means that jade can immediately capture it and start capturing the upper water properties with a black boat, whereas noir's harbor both takes two extra days to capture and won't let a black boat access the lower water properties at all and they have to wait until they get the central harbor to capture any water properties. Unless these two problems are both fixed, it is effectively impossible to have a fair fight on this map. If you are willing to take suggestions on how to make these better, I would suggest making the tiles at (18,7) and (4,15) into pipe seams instead of ocean/shoals, giving each player equal access to the airport while making it more of a commitment to go for. This would also slow down how quickly players can capture the north/south island base, meaning the pipe seams at (13,0) and (9,22) can be swapped for ocean tiles, which would make it possible to get more than just infantry off of the north and south islands without making them faster to get. As for the mismatched harbors, I would suggest keeping the structure from (3,8) and mirroring it onto the other side, as having the freedom to go for the southern islands early if you think you can get away with not contesting the center properties makes for an interesting risk/reward dynamic. |
