This is high funds right?

The comm towers look rather safe, with one in the corner and the other easily covered by
bombers from the airport. I think the corner one could be more exposed. Perhaps swapping it
with one of the cities 3 tiles away would help (and I'm aware that a tank could disrupt the
capture in 2 turns, as it makes the 1B1A front more committal rather than just building rockets
to turtle behind the woods).

However, it's the lab placement I find interesting here. Almost side by side, yet pushing them is
very risky because any units diverted towards them won't help with the battle over contested
corner properties.

This is for standard.

The tower closest to the airport can be fairly contested, especially early on. But usually both players end up
with 2 towers in the end. Could maybe swap the safer tower with a city 3 tiles away etc. but I'm not sure if it
is needed as the test games haven't created stally situations and there are more active fronts than bases.

I think the main issue with HF is rockets being very strong and able to cover almost half of your properties
in one move from the 1b. The funding for standard makes this much less of a problem.

I think the middle is a bit too empty (it's not worth fighting over as it is just a cluster of 0% defense terrain). Also a lot of the bases can be Rocket-locked (and the terrain encourages doing so) - so late game there might just be a lot of Rocket and counter-Rocket builds. Additionally, should the 1b1a fall on both sides, the frontline will become very boring (basically just the 0% def cluster in the middle).
