it seems to me there's only one property that's really contested here and it has ideal forests to set up an arty in (for both sides). Whoever gets to it and sets up first is basically guaranteed to win the mid game brawl. Income is also very high for BL which means that even if you don't get the contested property, you're kinda fine.
