Mixed base map with 4-fold symmetry and contested airports. |

Neat idea, but it might be a bit too complicated for Live Play. At least my opponent and I were both running out of time because there were too many units to move. Also I think that moves around the airports and the center need quite some planning in mid-/lategame which is hard to do when you're already short on time. |
ABadPlayer (09/19/2024 12:01pm):
So, look I don't want to sound too negative but I don't see how this is a great map. There are literally only 4 properties on the entire map that aren't in a single turn range of a tank from a base, which instead are airports and, if capped still produce units. It's so miserable to play. Especially on live when trying to calc out long chains of attacks from reinforcements is really not easy. |

Removed from Live Play for the time being due to the complexity of the map. EDIT: Also moved to B-rank due to BAABB tank order (at least if both players go for fastest income) and problematic middle (if someone manages to get a BCopter first and parks it on top of that center mountain, it can threaten way too much ground - though that's easy to fix by swapping some mountains for pipes). Also I don't think that the capture phase is that interesting, you're basically following chains until it's time to fight over the airports. Additionally, as ABadPlayer pointed out, almost every property is range of a base which is problematic as well since that makes it rather hard to flip anything unless you bring overwhelming force and/or try flipping multiple cities at once. |
