mapquest (08/15/2024 12:54pm):
Another addition to the Nomad series of maps, this map is inspired by the geography of the continental United States. Similar in intent to "Nomad: USA" (https://awbw.amarriner.com/prevmaps.php?maps_id=162826), the 16 players must decide between: a fast, contested start with slow growth; a long trek to highly contested, resource dense bases; or, somewhere in between. In addition, each of the 6 "regions" has a highly contested airport.

The nomads have the choice of starting immediately in the barren north, offering a quick start but little growth, go towards the southwest or midwest for a balanced start/growth, or for the east/west coasts for a slow and competitive start but huge rewards!

Each player may choose a tech path: either 1 comm towers / 4 cities and another choice of 1 comm tower / 3 cities. Either one may be more lucrative, depending on your growth strategy!

Objective:
Capture the most land mass before the timer expires, or, eliminate the competition!
In the non-play area (pipes), each player has an FTA counter and a tech-tree

FTA:
The 16 players are broken up into four brackets:
(P1 - P8): 1st infantry to the map turn 1, 2nd infantry on turn 2
(P9 - P12): 1st infantry to the map turn 1, 2nd infantry on turn 1,
(P13, P14): 1st infantry to the map turn 1, 2nd infantry on turn 1, but with a 1 free transport tile boost for the second tcopter
(P15, P16): 1st infantry to the map turn 1, 2nd infantry on turn 1, but with a 1 free transport tile boost for both tcopters

Rules:
0. Intended for High Funds, but Standard could work.
1. FFA, 4x teams of 4, 8x teams of 2, 2x teams of 8
2. Capture properties OR route the enemies
4. Ban: Stealth
itchydani3l (10/02/2024 02:49pm):
FTA still seems pretty strong.
High funds and bases being within 6 tiles makes for some nearly instant attacks where 1st
player wins.

If bases were about 8 tiles apart then p1 would be forced to move into a vulnerable position
and p2 would have first strike. Ergo player 1 would move to a strong point etc.
