Are the subs just a soft-lock? Once they run out of fuel, the mechs make a bee-line for the comm tower. I guess you need to submerge them to quickly get a leg up. |

The subs are an anti-softlock I guess? You can just run past them and they prevent others from blocking you in. |

The second infantry for each player introduces balancing issues. There aren't enough places to settle for all infantty, so players who can free them earlier have a significant advantage over others who are slower to do so. I'd reduce the number of avaliable starting positions (accessible in one or two T copter moves) to 8, and maybe remove a base from each central position, to reduce the turn advantage afforded to the second infantry. Edit: please move all airports so they aren't 1 bomber (or copter) move away from harassing enemy bases. I'd also do something about the western airport so it can't be missile locked so easily by a player to the north. Also, there's a bit of wasted space in the north and south west corners that would benefit from a terrain update, encouraging players to explore all parts of the map. It could have more cities or a defensive stronghold or something. |
