Map review (sept. 30 version): The main quality of the map is that it doesn't necessarily stalemate even if the game goes late, which is very impressive for a naval map that is very narrow on land. The 2b side can probably create an artillery push on the shoal area despite the weak terrain. Naval is very strong, which is very good for a naval map. Bships and bboats are the main ones, but I can see other types being viable (subs being used successfully in a test game I played). I'm unsure about the contested corner ports, because they are so impactful to the lategame board depending on who gets it. Same goes for the center ports that could be denied in some lines. This makes the opening very sharp, since a minor mistake could lead to a loss. This isn't inherently bad but causes two issues: the opener will be almost all-in center, and there could be a line that causes turn advantage. On that note, the preowned red city is a potential STA source because it punishes green for taking other properties first, limiting their options especially if both players race to get out the first bboat. Overall, I think it is decent but could be better with some tweaks. |

good map, the airpot at back do make the air units have a bit less use than naval, mass build battle ship could see more often in mid to late game, rushing to make bomber can force opponent to make cruiser or AA, sneaky sub really be a threat if no one guard their boat, overal good map :3 never let opponent mass battleship |
