(This map has been edited a bunch after the first playtest.) My first map. I was inspired by the map called '1 map Tourny' since I had a fun match on that recently. Though I made mine very different and bigger. Race to the middle with your teammate. Plenty of resources to capture and some are extra difficult to make players prioritize certain actions. You'll meet 1 other team early on with a pipe and some water separating you. Later on you meet another team that you'll have to fight head-on in order to get to the middle. The middle is accessible for all teams so this race will end in a massacre there. Everyone owns a few properties on enemy sides of the map so use these as vision to see if an enemy has been at that location yet. Your HQ needs you as soon as possible!!! (Next info is outdated. Scroll down for updated info.) Equal income: 30k. Lab suggestion: Stealth + Megatank A team: Orange Star + Silver Claw B team: Blue Moon + Black Noir C team: Green Earth + Azure Asteroid D team: Yellow Comet + White Nova |

The teams seem a bit off. ABCDABCD gives team A a big advantage and team D a big disadvantage. Should probably be ABCDDCBA. Other than that, it seems interesting. I think I need to play a game to give more feedback. Edit: Alright, having played a game, I can give some more feedback now. Unfortunately, half of the teams got eliminated immediately by HQ cap. This could be a problem with the map (too easy to HQ cap), but if you play properly, even the last team into the middle should be able to save their own HQs. The long roads on the sides serve no purpose imo. It makes the early game just walking your infantry all the way to the bottom. I guess it's somewhat interesting in how you count your turns to get to the middle earliest, but honestly, I don't think it needs to exist. Also, the bases at the end of the long paths are always going to be within artillery range of each other, which makes them very easy to lock down for the first team to build artillery. Lastly, as you mentioned in our game, the bases in the middle should be usable. In fact, I would also add more bases to the middle area. Give us a little more to fight over aside from the HQs. Maybe one or two at the top and bottom areas, where you'll meet up with one other team? |

Thanks for your input TinyBomby. The main point of this map is being a race to the middle, so the people that got HQ capped did not prioritize getting to their HQ to save it. Everyone had equal chance of saving their HQ. I do admit that there weren't enough shoals for proper double transport unloading, but I have now added plenty of shoals for that reason. This time I moved the HQ's slightly closer to the owners, but only by 2 tiles. Should be enough to have a tiny bit more wiggle room to save your HQ. I have done lots of other edits to improve the overall experience. Lots more shoals, extra Ports, extra Bases, extra Airport, better roads in middle, fair team order, etc. I'm looking forward to the next match on the new version. |

I did 1 more update to the map. Changelog: - 1 extra Port per team at the early area. 4 in total so 2 for each player. - 1 extra Airport at the early area per 2 teams. This means fighting a team over it. - Mountain added next to Comm Tower Airport that connects to early area for aircraft. - Every player spawns with an APC at the start and a Lander in the middle area. To speed things up. - Lots more shoals for loading and unloading. - A few more roads towards the middle for Recon & Rocket traversal. - Changed the countries to include Umber Wilds while retaining turn order balance. Equal income: 30.8k Lab suggestion: Stealth + Megatank A team: Orange Star + Umber Wilds B team: Blue Moon + Silver Claw C team: Green Earth + Black Noir D team: Yellow Comet + White Nova |

Oh and some extra hosting info: Unit Bans: Black Bomb Lab Units: Megatank, Stealth Capture/Days/Unit Limit: OFF CO Bans: Everything except Tier 4 (is my recommendation) Fog: ON (is my recommendation) The rest of the settings are up to you although I'd leave those default. |

Monke. I'm a big fan of the changes. Didn't even consider adding an airport there, but I think adding more competition in the first pool is very good. |

Monke indeed. I'm glad you approve of the changes. That extra airport and nearby mountain is gonna make the first team clash area a lot more interesting and less monotone with the ships. We've experienced how important that Lab in that area is, so I wanted to make the battle there more diverse. I think this is the final version. I really can't think of any other changes. Onto many battleraces on this map! |
