Some of the starting positions are better than others. Sami can reach some of the bases in 1 turn with her t copter. Either ban her, swap the infantry with the t copter, or expand the sea so players must traverse at least 8 tiles to reach a neutral base or nearby landing site.

She can only start to capture 5 out of 20 bases turn 2, and most players can reach 15 of the bases by turn
3 so i think it's fine.

But the fact that she can capture them on day 2 at all matters when players also rush to capture other bases quickly..

I was in another game from another immigration map of yours, and the ability to move a whole turn earlier than others enabled one player to capture 2 bases surrounding another, handily beating him using the extra funds and a pincers.

This shouldn't happen at all.

also the first turns disadvantage is massive. since once you capture the base 1 turn late, you then can't build an inf because repaires cost 100g. would work better if units had 7hp and 9hp respectively.

Sami should be banned outright. if she's in the 9hp squad she ignores first turns handicap. she also reachs the island faster. so she gets a second infantry before other finish capturing their base.

Sami is stronger than sensei on this map (if in the 9 hp squad)

I can do a revision but it may be difficult to keep some parts of the map the same.
