Ultra Storm 2 (08/14/2006 09:02am | Edited: 08/14/2006 09:11am):
You do realize why this will be an infinite stalemate (if the players aren't idiots), right? |
|
amthc356 (08/14/2006 11:58am):
the problem is there usually is an idiot or someone who gets booted. |
|
DARKWING700 (08/14/2006 01:00pm):
u no the first person to go wins/ this is a stupid map |
|
Horseboy (08/14/2006 01:04pm):
Yeah. Worthless. |

Shadow Star (08/14/2006 06:10pm):
what makes this a stalemate? OS starts capturing BM's HQ, BM in turn starts to capture an HQ (it doesn't matter which) GE captures OS's HQ, OS loses, BM loses. alternative. OS starts capturing GE's HQ, BM captures OS's HQ, GE captures an HQ (doesn't matter which) OS captures GE and GE loses, BM captures OS, BM wins. OS can never win, and the stalemate is nonexistant, this game lasts for 3 turns at the very most...and it's stupid.... |

" See, because OS sees they can's win if they start capturing, they won't start capturing. And then BM would be in the same position as OS was before, then GE and so on. |
|
randomizer (09/20/2006 11:52am):
It's never in OS's best interest go move on their turn, because whoever they don't cap will cap them. Even if OS skips their turn, if BM tries to cap them, then GE can cap BM, and still win. This map doesn't have FTA but last turn advantage. The first turn to actually finish capturing is at a serious disadvantage. |

Game theory is awesome. |

psycoskunk (09/26/2006 01:15pm):
WTF? I can't play because some stupid block thing came up. |

jhuni (10/10/2006 01:37pm):
This map is a stalemate Shadow Star. OS has 2 choices of HQ's to capture on the first turn: GE's, and BM's. So lets assume OS starts capturing BM's HQ, and BM starts capturing GE's HQ, and GE captures OS's HQ. OS then could wait, because if he captured BM's HQ GE would win right away. So after OS waits on BM's turn he cant capture GE's HQ because OS will win so he just waits. Then on GE's turn if he captures OS's HQ BM wins. So each player can just wait or they can switch positions intill they run out of fuel it makes no difference. |

Pyrranha (10/13/2006 01:46pm):
Interesting... according to the map analysis, BM wins the most. |
|
jhuni (10/16/2006 04:39pm):
Probaly because BM's in the middle. |
|
Pyrranha (10/16/2006 06:06pm):
I think you mean lower-left. After playing on this map, it has come to my attention that the paradox is even greater than one single human could possibly fathom. |
|
SmileKZS (10/27/2006 08:32pm):
theories... |
|
jhuni (10/31/2006 06:03pm):
Blue moon is in the middle in a turn based sense. OS-BM-GE where as BM is 2 which is in the middle of 1 and 3, sorry if it didn't make sense at first... |

Nice spin on the "Truel" game theory problem... |

I won this map. Haha |

Pyrranha (10/16/2006 05:06pm): After playing on this map, it has come to my attention that the paradox is even greater than one single human could possibly fathom. It is not too hard to fathom; described simply: Three enemies are holding a gun to the person to their right. If one person shoots, then the enemy, who hasn’t shot, shoots him and is the last one alive. So therefore it is best not to be the first of the three to shoot. If each of the three players is smart, then the match ends in a stalemate. |

khdou (04/06/2009 01:04pm):
Game Theory ftw! |
|
Modern day Alexander (04/21/2009 09:19pm):
To simplify Kruegsters answer: In this game, first to shoot dies and takes his choice of opponet with him. While a group of smart people would declare a stalemate, The smartest in a group of dumb people kills the one he hate the most while the dumbest choes one at random and hopes hes fast enough to get the oher. Although another option for the smart person might be to knock the gun out of one guys hand while shooting the other but the chance of that succeding are about as likely to as the dumb mans stratagey in this game... |

Mori2 (06/25/2013 08:23am):
I love the idea of this map so much. |

Pfhil (06/26/2013 04:16am):
You are 4 years late to the party. Not only has everybody gone home, they don't even live in the same house anymore. You are just knocking on some strangers door and they do not have any booze for you. They will probably just call the cops. |
|
Nyvelion (03/23/2015 01:46pm):
How late does that make me? |
