I think you are a bit too hard-pressed to clear that AA because otherwise you won't get the Com Tower anytime soon - and if you leave the AA alive, it will heavily damage your Infantry which isn't great in the early game either. Also, if you use a tank for clearing the AA, you could potentially remove it in 2 instead of 3 turns if you're lucky (at least with a basic CO like Adder). So if one player gets lucky and the other doesn't, that creates an imbalance (not a huge one, but it's there). If possible, the AA should start on lower def terrain so that it can reliably be cleared in 2 hits by most COs (Forest might be enough?). So due to these factors I think B-rank is appropriate here - for now. EDIT: Re-Newed after changes |

2nd review: So here are my findings regarding tank order in different scenarios: - Nobody removes the AA early: BAAB tank order -> balanced - OS removes the AA with an early Mech, but BM doesn't: BABA tank order -> BM advantage - BM removes the AA with an early Mech, but OS doesn't: ABAABB tank order -> OS advantage - Both players remove the AA with a Mech: ABAB tank order -> OS advantage Now ofc this has a lot more intricacies to it because there are several more ways this could play out - someone builds an Arty or a later Mech, for example - and I can't really test them all or I'd be sitting here for several hours, but I think this is balanced? A-ranking the map for now, but also putting it in 'Under Review' to get some test games going to see if I'm wrong. |
