Starting a game as Teal with Eagle, I think the map needs to reassess comm/lab spots. Multiple labs for a player is fine since you only need one, but the entire western side doesn't have any, so it limits what you want to place in them. Even if they are likely representing industry/major spots. Comms are also the same. Given I banned everyone above but Eagle/Sami for a more diverse and fair match (Sami in hindsight being the more optimal pick and a must ban for city blocks), a lot of COs will still need access to them to at least get the +20 on their power. Contested ones are fine since it highlights battlefields, but looking at the map: Silver/Noir are duking it out, Silver likely getting it with their base positioning. Purple/Acid is a brawl, but Purple can likely secure it early. Pink/Cobalt/Jade is more interesting, though I'd still give it to Pink with their side of the river and distance. Teal might get theirs depending how Pink focuses. White and Brown point blank get theirs for free. Azure/Amber and whoever loses the duels will be permanently at a disadvantage, and there's very few COs can handle punching through heavy terrain in the lower tiers. So I'd say either give everyone a freebie (maybe precapped anyway), or dot them around to open up more focus/areas. You could also have some predeployed injured scrubs. But people always seem to whine about them existing regardless what they even are. Can't really say too much else otherwise. |
