I don't understand it either but it does not look balanced to me. OS is ahead on the 2b side (if they decide to buy their 1st Inf there, which looks to be optimal), but at the same time BM is way ahead in funding since their Mech is more useful for capping. The Recons I don't get at all. Vehicle timings aren't balanced either since BM can get Copter 1st whereas OS can't even afford an AA immediately if they went tank first.

If BM can turbo a first vehicle copter against OS' tank and not lose equal or more development
to the opposing recon in the meantime, they deserved the win.

It's hard to say what the optimal recon moves are, but the side with the mech starts it's cap phase faster and has to make
forward caps so they pretty much have to go there - as a result the threats are mirrored so I don't think it leads to any
balance problems.

The slow start also gives more time than usual for the cap phase to play out before tanks are on the field, so funny enough
early vehicle interactions aside from the one recon are relatively simply.

Overall, the map falls in a really interesting place in-between the common archetypes and ends up with pretty unique
dynamics mid-game.
