said campaign takes place in "The Ark" a complex somewhere inside the planet that all of humanity lives in, and most people don't even believe the "surface" doesn't even exist. Each layer is named after a letter of the Greek alphabet (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, ETC) and has a different purpose. Layer Alpha, the first (and topmost) layer, is the Military Base Layer Beta, the second layer, is the Farming Hub Layer Epsilon, the fifth layer, is the Medical Epicenter Layer Theta, the eighth layer, is full of Illusions Layer Omicron, the fifteenth layer, is one large Mega City Layer Pi, the sixteenth layer, is the home of the Abyss Scholars Layer Sigma, the eighteenth layer, is another City, but has time shenanigans, and i hate it. Layer Tau, the nineteenth layer, is the Catacombs Layer Upsilon, the twentieth layer, is the Religious Epicenter Layer Phi the twenty-first layer, is straight up Hell Layer Psi, the twenty-third layer, is Heavily Forested and Layer Omega, the twenty-fourth (and final) layer, is a large Prison Complex I had to improvise the remaining layers cause we haven't been there but i personally really want one to be a huge effing desert. In fact, most people cant even move from one layer to the other, but because we are the main characters, we can. And so can you! for the purpose of making this map playable! |

It doesn't translate into a very good map though. Once a unit is next to a teleport tile, that entire section of the map is going to be completely locked off to the other players. Only indirect units and piperunners could break that parity. There's severe inequality between the different countries in terms of how quickly they can block invaders to their layers, and how much funds each coiuntry gets. |

I never said it was balanced, or even a good idea for that matter |

Virgin: uhm acshtually Advance Wars maps need to consider excessive chokepoints, teleport blocking, FTA (ahem, First Turn Advantage you newb), CO balances, economy funding *insert Trump joke* and the mandatory stealth/person of colour bomb bans - no fun allowed for casuals. I shall now proceed to downvote this shamefully hideous monstrosity to feel good about my inherent superiority *pushes glasses back up*. Vs the Chad: I had a cool idea and I'll recreate it as best I can 👍 (I'd post the little emoji but the year is and has largely always been 1984) |

You know, it doesn't take much to realize that this is a very silly map to play Advanced Wars on and it's entirely unbalanced and weird to play on, but it's actually more fun and more functional than I expected it to be. Like yeah you have to bust open layers via indirects but there's also the ground air interfacing to complicate defending and attacking. And attacking between layers is not justt for busting open layers at the entry point either because the space between them is so thin. Makes the difference between Artillery/Rockets/B.Ships feel a lot more meaningful. I'd probably ban global damage COs and Kindle for this map but I hate global damage on every map with more than 4 participants so take my advice on that with a grain of salt (it's not necessarily because an individual global damage CO becomes overly powerful, it's more that if more than a few people choose global damage COs everyone is getting hammered with global damage and it's a vibe harshening experience). I think maybe also it would be fun to *not* ban piperunners, though they obviously mess with the premise of the map, on default settings income is constrained enough that it would make for more dynamic play in the late game, my gut tells me that it would make it harder to turtle basically. |
