Reworked map to be a little more contested, in addition to adding bboat shenanigans and moving strong side base to be less insanely strong. |

Some problems here: - The funding curve allows P1 to baseskip for tank on day 5 (for ABAB tanks) and even if P1 does not baseskip, they get double tanks on day 6 anyway (so actual tank order is ABBAA). So there is an advantage for P1 here. - The BBoat can be used to go for the (15,11) harbor early on but doing that is maybe a mistake as it doesn't look defendable for the 1b. If, however, the BBoat is used to block the (15,11) harbor after it's captured, that leaves only the center properties as immediately contestable, so the danger of this becoming a center brawl is quite high - especially since temporarily putting the BBoat on the harbor looks to be the only way to hold it VS vehicles and Copters early on. It even might be worth it to take a Copter hit just so that an AA has time to arrive but that's a big maybe I will admit. - If the harbor doesn't get captured (because players don't handshake the (15,07) city and the (15,11) harbor and the harbor capture gets interrupted), the 1b will probably never get it as by that point the 1b1a vehicles and Copters start coming in - so again, you likely get a center brawl as the (13,12) city can be defended from the center, too. - If the 1b doesn't go for the (15,11) harbor at all, you probably also get a center brawl. So my suggestions would be to fix the funding curve (P1 should have 6k gold day 5 and 11/12/13k - preferably 11/12k - on day 6; P2 should have enough gold to still get ABBA tank order). Maybe remove the BBoat (that would probably make the frontline more diagonal and thus longer). Maybe move some properties slightly to adjust to the new frontline if the BBoat is removed. Maybe move the Com Towers out of the center as well to reduce the risk of a center brawl. |

2nd review: Some small/medium issues still: - I think nerfing the airport has some merit here to make the harbor more contested (Copters shouldn't be able to reach it in one turn). So I suggest putting a pipe(seam) at (15,05). - Com Tower and HQ (two high-value targets) are too close to each other IMO. It might be better to swap the Com Tower with the barbor at (15,16) and add a forest at (11,14) to put some more effective distance between Com Towers and HQs. That change would also mean that both players have to make a bit of a detour to get/contest the tower which is probably a bit more interesting. - The funding curve should maybe be changed so that P2 has 1k less funds on day 5 if possible, otherwise P2 can do a city skip while still getting ABBA tanks. - I'd also suggest breaking up the middle chains (or at least not making them 3-chains) - if you have chains on a map, it generally is better to put them more out of the way (meaning on the sides/in the corners). |

So there is one imbalance that I would still like to be adressed as the map actually has potential STA at the moment. Because P2 has 1000 extra funds on day 4 (2000+7000=9000 instead of the 8000 neeeded for ABBA tanks) that means that P2 can actually do some capture skip strats and still get the correct tank order. One example is that they can just send an Inf from the base to mid on day 2 and start capping one of the chains there on day 5 while still getting ABBA tanks if they go for fastest income otherwise. So that is a bit broken IMO - the income curve/city layout should be changed so that P2 does not have the 1000 leftover gold that enables this strat. I'd also suggest adding forests at (02,06) and (03,05) to make the (01,03) harbor less defensible by a tank sitting on the (04,07) city; also, the silo next to that harbor could be swapped with a forest for the same reason. But apart from that I don't see anything potentially problematic with the terrain atm. |
