Frontswitching for land units is not a thing here due to the chasm in the middle (which also is a very convenient spot for Copters to sit on), so I'd say the map is not all that dynamic. EDIT: Re-Newed after changes |

2nd review: Frontswitching is possible now, but there is not that much gameplay variety as the game will probably be decided by who can flip the Com Tower or maybe the (02,09) city first. I'd say the main problem is that the frontline is still quite short - it would maybe work better if it was between the NW and SE corners because that would allow room for more contested properties than the 4 there are currently (even more so if the unused corner landmasses were repurposed to be part of the frontline). Alternatively, the frontline needs some heavier terrain (mountains/rivers) so that players have to make more decisions on where to send vehicles instead of just moving them forward. There isn't a lot of space to work with in the current setup, however, so I'm not sure if that could work without making the map too choky. So overall I'd say the map is a bit too one-dimensional and the frontline is a bit too short. B-rank looks appropriate here. |
