For fog and new1234. While the setup is asymmetrical, they are identical in how they affect the gameplay for p1 and p2. How to play: You get to choose 2 of the 4 units you free in order to help your gameplan, with the choice order being ABBA. Here's what each of the units does and how to move them: 1 HP Recon: P1: Break the seam at (20,02) Move onto the 1 HP Lander at (18,03) and move the lander to (20,06) and unload the recon. Then move the lander onto the subsequent reefs before unloading the recon onto the forest to permanently gain vision of 2 bases. P2: Break the seam at (10,30) and move the Recon onto the lander at (11,30), move the lander and unload it similar to P1. 2 HP Missile: P1: Break the seam at (22,02) and load the missile onto the lander at (24,02). Then move the lander max distance twice and unload the missile. Use the missile to kill the 1 HP Transport Copter, move the 1 HP APC into the forest and the 2 HP Carrier into the reef. P2: Break the seam at (06,30) and load the missile into the lander at (05,30). Move your Lander into the reef even if you are Drake, Sami or Sensei against Sonja or else your lander can get destroyed. Then do the same as P1. The Carrier does 2 damage to air units coming out of the airport while permanently scouting it. The Carrier was chosen instead of Missile to attack due to Missile being able to deal 3 damage to copters at +20% firepower. DO NOT pre- emptively move the APC as Max. The Black Boat can be used to repair the remaining chip damage. 3 HP Transport Copter: P1: Break the seam at (21,03) load the TCopter into the Cruiser, then move the cruiser to (14,07) and unload the TCopter. P2: Break the (07,29) seam if you want to also get the Recon or (09,29) if you want to take the Missile, if you decide to take infantry then either works. Then move the TCopter into Cruiser and unload it similar to P1. TCopter is used to boost early captures. 4HP Infantry: P1: Break the seam at (21,01) then move the infantry onto the mountain and capture the city in several turns. P2: Break the (07,31) seam if you want to take Infantry + Recon or (09,31) seam if you want to take Infantry + Missile. Then move the infantry into whichever forest next to the cleared seam and start capturing the city. In 6 turns or 5 with Sami, you permanently gain 1k income for the rest of the game. Both P1 and P2 move the indirect units from your opponent's choice area into the indicated silos with the help of some landers to kill whatever your opponent chooses not to save. Use 3 HP Rocket to clear 2 HP Missile and 1 HP Recon, 7 HP Rocket to clear 4 HP Infantry and 4 HP Missile to clear the 3 HP TCopter. DO NOT use the (00,31) Lander, it's only there to act as missile bait. P1 Megatank at (19,00) also does nothing but to bait missile. Once the setup is done with, P2 should move the Mega Tank into the forests to avoid being used to generate charge. The 1 HP Cruiser and 2 HP Missile can be moved around a bit to gain some vision. The map has been tailored so that the gimmick works for all CO, including T0, so follow fog tiers as usual. |

Short summary: You can unlock 2 out of the 4 options to help your main battlefield: 1 HP Recon to scout 2 bases, 2 HP Carrier to tax air units while also permanently revealing the airport, 3 HP TCopter to boost transport on the main field or 4 HP Infantry to get permanent 1k income. |

I only ranked the center map, not the choices, as without some tests their power levels are up for debate I think. My own opinion is that the Recon seems really powerful considering how much info you get from it (directly and indirectly). If both players take the Recon and the Missile/Carrier I'd imagine this could get stally as both players can spy on 3/4 of their opponent's production facilities. Nerfing the Recon (if it really turns out to be too good) should be easy though - just let it spy on only one base. |
