If I'm not mistaken, if both players build Copter first (which really makes sense since you want to build Infantry on the bases), P1's Copter has a chance to escape if the opponent builds an AA immediately and moves it towards the HQ while P2's Copter does not have that opportunity. To prevent P1's Copter from escaping, P2 needs to place an Infantry on (09,15) which means they miss out on caps. So I think there's some FTA.

Updated the black boats to be full health to allow an extra time before an AA response is needed.

Now to "free" the airport from a potential AA lock, you need support from an army that was able to push past the 1B. You can
still build early copter if you want to force an AA build, but it will be stuck waiting on that airport in a really funny standoff with an
AA.

I think the overall idea here is somewhat interesting, but I'd widen the map by a few tiles horizontally so pushing past the 1b is more feasible. I think right now it will happen eventually in any case thanks to the fight being 2b1(2?)a VS 1b but if the 1b does not overextend initially and sets up an indirect defense with one or two Arties, I could see this turning into a really grindy affair in a lot of games. If the map was widened, the 1b would have a way harder time with turtling at least (as indirects and the pipe runner get nerfed and getting past the base is easier in general, too). Widening the map might also result in a more diagonal frontline which also should be a plus.

Maybe the center also needs a bit more value so that this doesn't become a damage race on the sides every time?

Updated the map to have a bit more income towards mid to encourage more copters and brawling, and widened it.

theres an extra mountain just below the bottom right uncaptured base. breaks symmetry
