- The funding curve does seem to favor P1 somewhat (they can get out an Arty on d5 for ABaBA vehicles or baseskip for ABAB tanks, for instance), or just get ABBAA tanks if they keep building Infantry. That being said, the map does look spacious enough for P2 to maybe produce a timely response for anything P1 could try with their funding curve, so perhaps it is okay, though I feel that P2 potentially has a harder time here if P1 decides to go for the early vehicles. My approach would be to edit the map so that P1 only has 8k on day 4 instead of 9k though if it's at all feasible, but maybe it's not needed here. It might be worth testing if it's a problem or not. - Imo the center could use two more reefs on (12,13)+(12,14) to prevent Lander shenanigans by transport COs like Sami and Drake (currently you can transport units from your 2b to the opponent's 2b within one move if you have a 7-move-Lander). If you catch the opponent unaware, you can use this to Arty-lock both their bases or at least make them waste time to deal with the units you brought over. So the whole thing seems a bit volatile and I don't think it necessarily adds to the map. - I'd also add a contested property in the (15,19) area - it looks a bit barren currently. Also, adding a silo/forest at (00,10) might be worth considering as it currently is a very good full-move parking spot for tanks from (07,15). Same goes for (14,24) and the (06,26) base. - I'd also maybe space out the center properties a bit more so it's not possible to grab them in short succession with a Lander and 2 Infs, but I haven't really looked into if it currently is a problem (I assume it's not, though it could lead to a permanent advantage for one player in the center unless their opponent drags over an air unit or builds a stationary Battleship to clear the Infantries that can be left on the islands). So I think there are a few things here that could be changed, but everything else looks quite interesting! |
