The year is 1919, one year after the Great War had ended- at least, for the victorious powers it had, save for the ongoing conflict in Ireland. In Germany, the new Weimar Republic had overthrown the monarchy, but is far from uniting the country as the People's State of Bavaria and the Workers' Councils of Saxony remain independent from the central government. On the 5th of January, the Communist Party of Germany entered into an open conflict with the social-democratic government in Berlin due to disagreement on handling of peaceful protests and General Strikes that started the day before, plunging the country ever deeper into chaos. To the east, the nation of Poland is resurgent after 123 years under foreign occupation. Already in control over it's central territories, it is nonetheless in a precarious position of conflict with nearly all of it's neighbors - in the west, Polish uprisings in Greater Poland and Upper Silesia face stiff resistance from the German freikorps, while in the east Polish forces have just retaken the city of Lviv after it was lost to the West Ukrainian People's Republic last year, while in Belarus they prepare to confront Lithuania for the control of the city of Vilnius, historical Lithuanian capital with majority Polish population, and face the Red Army approaching their land. Even further east, the West Ukrainian People's Republic had fled east to join the Ukrainian Hetmanate, as it prepares to take it's final stand against the Soviet Army, which had by now secured nearly all of Russia heartland. White Russian resistance had been reduced to Alexander Kolchak's "All-Russian Government" in the far east, and Denikin's soon-to-be South Russian Government around Tsaritsym (Future Stalingrad), but they still cooperate with independence fighters in Estonia and Finland. Complicating matters, German Freicorps are still operating in Latvia, fighting against Estonia and Bolsheviks alike, and in southeastern Ukraine an anarcho-communist movement estabilished a free territory under it's leader, Nestor Makhno. In the southern Europe, a bloody war between Hungary and Romania entered it's final stages, as a coup led to creation of a Hungarian Soviet Republic - popular in Budapest, but holding nearly no control over the countryside, this would soon lead to international intervention in their country. To the west, Serbia secures territories promised to it by the Entente, while Italian soldiers displeased with this betrayal rebel, estabilishing an Independent State of Fiume (Note- that actually happened in 1920, I'm pushing it back slightly for no reason other than making the scenario more interresting. While on that note, Arab resistance in Southern Algieria and Senussi resistance in Libya took place at latest in 1917, that too was pushed forward to make the scenario more interresting). Last but not least, The Ottoman Empire had been partitioned by the Entente powers, and just as Caucasian countries in the east rise up in hopes of escaping both Turkish and Russian yoke, so too the national movement of Turkiye must fight for independence. Truly, the Great War had ended a year before already, there is nothing wrong with that interpretation of history |

Nations: - OS: Communists around all of Europe, but most notably Bolshevik Russia - BM: Greece - GE: Hetmanate of Ukraine - YK: Armenia and Georgia - BH: Serbia - RF: Great Britain and Belgium; Team Entente - GS: Weimar Republic, Republic of Austria, and Freikorps - BD: Czechoslovakia and Romania - AB: Bavaria and Fiume - JS: Kingdom of Italy; Team Entente - CI: Republic of France; Team Entente - TG: White Russia, Estonia, Lithuania and Finland - AR: Turkiye, and Arab resistance in North Africa - WN: Poland - NE: Ireland and Makhnovshchyna Rules: - 1000 funds per property - No unit limit - Capture limit: 90 - 30-50 day limit - Fog of War on - Clear or random weather Unit bans: Air units other than fighters and transport copters, blackboats, carriers, rockets, missiles, neotanks, megatanks, piperunners, black bombs. Tanks aren't historical and are better represented by medium tanks, but I know some players dislike playing without them, so they aren't banned by default but feel free to do so If you want complete chaos, disable alliances so that France, Brittain and Italy can fight one another And finally, it is also recommended to play without CO powers, or at least without ones with global damage effects |

Note on map design: The decision to add Fiume and Arabian rebels in Algeria and Libya at (slightly, by only a year or 2) different time period that it actually happened was to prevent Entente from just steamrolling through Germany. Having them deal with their own issues should make for a more balanced and interresting scenario. Decision not to include more nations, like Greece and Serbia, in team Entente, was for the very same reason: to make the game more interresting. |

Cool looking map. The entente alliance seems quite powerful. While central/east europe is in-fighting they can ramp up and sweep the map. Maybe have many of their units (including battleships) be injured like you did in the East Asian map to reflect war fatigue/post-war repairs? At least to delay them just sending full HP battleships to say 6K income Serbia and totally stomp it. |
