For Standard :) NOTE (30/11/2025): Added extra terrain on the frontlines and a tiny bit on the side. All credit goes to Banana Basket, DrNasty and Monty for the suggestions! NOTE++: Thank you Monty. I've attempted to fix the stuff that you mentioned, although I'm unsure if this has fixed anything apart from just pushing the 1b a bit forward (airport included!). In addition, I moved a city from 2b to 1b so it'd somewhat balance out! NOTE (2/12/2025): Credit to Banana Basket for the suggestions on modifying frontline terrain! |

The frontline terrain is a bit bland (mostly cities surrounded by roads and plains which makes city-sitting kinda good). EDIT: Re-Newed after changes |

2nd review: Two issues with this one: - The 2b currently gets ~9 safe caps while the 1b just gets ~6. So I'd add one (or two) more safe caps for the 1b (or better, move one from the 2b to the 1b side so it's 8 VS 7) to mitigate the slight STA the map currently has (as the 1b where P1 is ahead will currently run out of captures way faster). Also, the 2b currently gets a capture chain and the 1b does not. - The frontline is pretty static initially (just a horizontal line through the middle) - though the 2b will eventually push into 1b territory (I assume) which would yield a diagonal frontline anyway, so maybe it's a non-issue. (Although you could maybe look into moving the 1b [and airport?] a bit forward so it can grab some more caps earlier so the fighting starts sooner? Right now it's prudent for the 1b to play defensive after grabbing the tower which contributes towards the frontline being static.) |

3rd review: I think this is more interesting now, although still a bit slow and stally. For immediately contested cities, you basically only have (21,07) - although the 2b will get that eventually anyway - and maybe the center cities (so there's some risk of this devolving into a center brawl as well). There's likely also a bit of STA as the 2b grabs a few more cities overall (at least if you use it to get the center ones in the back which seems optimal). So I'd say this is still B-rank. |
