Linten (12/22/2025 11:02am | Edited: 12/22/2025 12:11pm):
FYI Red's start is pretty weak. If you go to the southern-water nation then Green can easily bring in their T-copter then double attack (Lash/Grimm/Sami) is guaranteed 2HKO) and then take it for themselves immediately afterwards. Same issue in the far-western island from Yellow. There isn't really any choice, you can't block as Red at all on the south, and have to block to safely take the north-west with only two units. God awful. You are entirely at the mercy of others. Blue does not have this issue in the north due to base positioning and yellow not being able to reach from the teleports. Blue cannot be interrupted on the small East island, and green double attacking them in the south-east has no immediate base afterwards for both infantry, and requires Grimm/Sami to 2HKO. Lash loses an additional turn (two more than vs Red) Tl;dr Yellow only has incentive to strike Red on T1, Green can guaranteed body Red on T1. Red has only one safe base and no better use for their other infantry. Unironically the worst start of all the factions without including the lack of additional city funds or t-copter. Meanwhile Black can rush the middle freely without threat of interruption +extra cash from cities. Edit: I rather like the idea of this map, especially as it's a large map that doesn't try to use all of its space and keeps the battle within 2-3turns range for the most part. However I think there are too many labs for 'lab units' as you cannot really deny people, and that it would probably be better off giving each faction 2-3 starting labs instead of HQ's as to allow a way to take people out of the game instead of relying on destroying every single unit on a huge board. The starting-bonus cash cities should also be capturable later on instead of permanent. My two cents. |
