The year is 2125! The Earth as we know it is transformed. Four superpowers fight, exhausted by decades of war. The Middle East is an irradiated wasteland, devastated by nuclear weapons, its oil field fallow and empty. East Asia is devastated, the Korean peninsula uninhabitable, the southeastern jungles burned flat. Eastern Europe is a quagmire, with great defensive lines straddling the continent. The only moving front is North Africa. As the great powers converge, they now look up in search of more resources to feed their war machines. The colonization of the Solar System begins! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BH: The North Atlantic Union A successor state to NATO and it's allies, the NAU has been engaged on all fronts. East Asia has been abandoned, with nothing left there to fight for. Eastern Europe is in constant struggle, as the NAU resists against invasion from the East. The NAU's greatest success was 8 years ago, being the conquest of Panama and it's canal. The NAU now stands in a deadlock, unable to push south into Colombia. Hoping to open a new front to push, it now shifts it's attention the North Africa. GS: La Confederación del Sur The Confederation was formed from the nations of Central and South America for the purpose of collective defense. While historical divisions continue to cause issues, they are largely ignored in favor of the common good. Despite losing Central America to the NAU, the Confederation holds strong. It now has began landing in North Africa's Atlantic Coast, hoping to pressure the NAU into diverting its troops to Europe. PC: The Pan-African Republic As divided as the Confederation is, it pales in comparison to the PAR. For much of its history, the PAR has fought against internal guerillas, both independent and supported by foreigners. In recent years however, it has succeeded in crushing most dissent. The PAR now looks north, seeking to reclaim the land it has lost over the past century of conflict. WN: The Tri-National Pact Formed from India, China, and Russia, the TNP was created in direct response to the NAU. It is responsible for the current war, initiating it by invading Eastern Europe and the Middle East. While initially having the upper hand, the war quickly devastated the vast economies of it's component states, causing much internal turmoil, eventually leading to stalemate. As its capabilities decline, the TNP's leadership has decided to push west into North Africa through Egypt, hoping to secure the resources necessary for victory. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use the recommended settings! This map was loosely inspired by the board game of the same title. |
