this is Spann Island but it's the DS version, see if you can spot the difference :) |
(07/30/2005 07:22pm):
That's so cheap! You want me to play you on this? Bah... Figures you're OS. |
SRC (07/30/2005 07:24pm):
I seriously wish this was a joke. |
(07/30/2005 07:26pm):
it's not so much cheap as it is a teaser, also, that base is the same distance from either side, you just gotta get there or stop the other from getting it. |
Dullahan (07/31/2005 11:06pm):
Hah whatever. It's 6 spaces from OS and 10 spaces from BM AND OS goes first. BM isn't going to be stopping OS from taking the base. Please think before you say something like that. |
(08/04/2005 02:13pm):
for pete's sake, I just played against him, he stopped me. |
Dullahan (08/05/2005 11:54pm):
1) I quote: "that base is the same distance from either side." 2) 10 spaces =/= 6 spaces. I think I have made my point clear. 3) BM cannot stop OS from taking the base immediately with an OS infantry made on the first turn w/o producing a recon right off the bat which completely messes up their income, thus allowing OS to take the base with reinforcements that BM can't match. OS would have to be really incompetent to not be able to take the base, and if OS is Sami, then they've got to be a total beginner if they can't manage to secure it. If you don't believe me, make a game and I'll show you how OS can secure the base no matter the CO - even Adder can take it if OS is competent. |
Dragonfire (08/06/2005 02:16pm):
I have the game and OS owns that new base from the beginning |
SRC (08/07/2005 06:41pm):
That just makes it even worse. |
(08/14/2005 04:03pm):
I finished this map against Apharmd.. He was OS I was BM.. He captured that base but I pounded him with indirects, soo... maybe I'm just good *shrug* Heh. I won.. |
(09/06/2005 06:01pm):
wouldn't BM be closer to the 2 neutral cities though? Making it even? |
Freezie (10/03/2005 12:04pm):
I think adding a BM city from the start would balance that issue Os will get an easy base but BM will get more income |
BlitzStrike (10/06/2005 08:41pm):
base > big income |
Dennisthemennis (10/20/2005 02:34pm):
BlitzStrike (10/06/2005 11:41pm): base > big income yea i agree base increases income and it can make units |
Pichu0102 (10/20/2005 05:57pm):
Hate to be a nitpick, but that netural base is an Orange Star base in the Dual Strike version. |
jeeves (10/21/2005 12:05pm):
it still sucks royally. DS made so many of the WR maps INFINITELY easier. *hates the lack of challenge* |
Nyvelion (10/24/2005 11:59am):
Why did you have to make a neutral base, ruining the whole map by giving the game to OS? 1 / 10, |
PossumSpit (11/16/2005 09:10pm):
I like this map on War Room... |
Brio (03/10/2006 02:14pm):
ok, there is NO Difference to this'n map (except for the sides for the plain, looks like a little rock near OS) other than that, NO! |
Brio (03/11/2006 10:31am):
i'm playin BM :) |
Brio (03/15/2006 02:00pm):
&...me yield :( |
Brio (03/22/2006 09:00pm):
& NO MECH FLOODING! 1/10! |
Where no one knows (07/10/2006 08:01am | Edited: 07/10/2006 11:24am):
Your all wrong? This game isn't as unbalanced as you might think, with getting that base, it leaves the two buildings on the island for bm, which gives them +1 property over OS. plus, if your using a wall of indirects, you can stop that base from even mattering I just played a round on it, Jess (OS) Grit(bm, me :D) and well, I guess you can say that Broken CO > Broken Map but uh yea, without a broken Co, this maps pretty brutal. |
RedKlonoa (08/01/2006 08:41pm):
This is not the DS version. The DS version has OS with 5 bases, the 5th in the bottom area of the map (which you have as neutral) |
nyvelion2 (08/11/2006 06:28am):
What is famicom wars and why did you make a map that's identical to the 5 other spann islands that are exactly like this? |
kevmauldin (11/24/2006 05:47pm):
famicom wars is the original advance wars. it was only released in japan, it was for the famicom. some of the maps like bean island(i think that was it) were originally on it. |
Ducky (03/06/2008 07:04pm):
I thought DS span started owning that factory |
Falconewing (06/01/2009 04:35pm):
DS Span owned that lower factory and lower city as OS. |
